Even with Vando, Wood, Hayes and other players coming back from injuries you don't know how good they will be when they come back Also make sure the players they make a trade for are able to play and put up great numbers and play a significant role for a team in a huge market with a lot of pressure.

Trevor, I usually agree with you on most things, but I disagree heavily that they can only make trade for younger players with flippable value. My reasoning is simple; Boston became the favorites and powerhouse by trading for Jrue/KP, two players who are the complete OPPOSITE of that. You simply can’t seriously try to contend and at the same time not be willing to make the tough trades.
@notatrollll16 сағат бұрын
Counter argument, celtics core best players are two younger stars in brown and tatum. Lakers two best players are 33+. You can risk older players to complement brown and tatum who run the floor hard, play both ways etc. they can compensate for some of the older players. Lakers still have to have younger players like reaves and knecht. I think if you trade 2 firsts and multiple key players it cant be for someone too old. Older players would work if they are cheap or specialists (defender, physical center, shooter). But you dint want to invest in that when lebron is on his way out
@senpainft686016 сағат бұрын
@ “can’t” is a strong word. If you actually believe that, you should just trade Lebron and AD, because the odds of you finding pieces to make you a real contender that are also young, and getting enough of them to actually contend, are extremely low. So low that you’re better off just getting what you can back for Lebron and AD now
@TreySixNina15 сағат бұрын
I say we bag up Cam Johnson first, then grab Kris Dunn and Robert Williams lll. I know RWlll is a bit risky but I think he fits best with what we’re looking to do now and in the future. That covers our wing, gives us a decent defender and consistent scorer, the bruiser big that would allow AD to slide to the 4 (we’d have RWlll/Hayes/Koloko) and a veteran ball handler/solid defender who also rebounds the ball. They all can be there post LeBron as well. He was traded to the clippers from the jazz not too long ago so I’m not 100% sure if he’s tradeable but the other 2 we can for sure get

As a LeBron fan who can't wait to donate all my Lakers gear when he is done, keeping those picks will not change anything really. The franchise has a pretty bad track record of drafting players see JHS over Whitmore, Jaquez and Pods last season. Knect fell into the laps this season and that was a no brainer. Then there was passing on Jaylen Brown and Tatum and letting them go to Boston and their 6 ECF appearances. Celtics were so confident you didn't want Tatum they traded their #1 pick for a future pick cause they knew Philly wanted Fultz (even though they had Simmons) and you wanted Lonzo. BI vs. Jaylen Brown was a closer call but not the right choice. Just because you hold the picks, doesn't mean you'll make the right choice or the choice pans out. It's still a gamble either way.

He takes out Kobe's photo...taps it as Jeanie walks by, and nothing.

Hard to make moves when people don’t want anyone from our roster. Rob is going to have to trade Christie, AR or Dalton with DLO to get anyone like Walker Kessler or Cam Johnson. Teams want a pick and a young guy that can grow with your team.

jarred vanderbilt and/or christian wood returning would save dlo's career in LA.

This win didn’t mean anything at this point. We still need trades.

You have to get AD some help too. He's been sluggish carrying the load down low. He hasn't had much help since he been a Laker

"Merciless Jerk" is what Trev sees when he puts his hat on in the morning. Lakers win in an exciting Christmas Game and Lane whines and complains.

Get Vu he may not be a long term fit but he will give us the scoring and rebounding which is crucial and he's more of an asset than Valencinus even though he costs more 😮

Predict if asked, Rob will say the 30 game evaluation is insufficient because the injured guys, Vando, Wood, did not play so he is unable to make a proper evaluation of the current roster.

Austin Reeves was the perfect choice to get that bucket If it was LeBron he would have been triple team driving to the basket would have got filed and they wouldn't have been called Austin Reeves had a legitimate one-on-one They would never give LeBron a one-on-one drive to win the game or a shot Golden State is always hype to get on LeBron

As I’ve said before they’re in a tough spot until they know status of Vando and wood. That dictates what kind of trade u need to make, frontcourt or backcourt. Add to that teams want the moon from the lakers for anyone right now. That’ll change closer to trade deadline. Hopefully a move like Dallas made last year to make west finals. Fill in the gaps.

Those final games against okc is the last week of the season so by that time okc will have the 1 seed locked up which means they will most likely be resting their best players

The NBA should make a new rule for a Veteran box office tag tax. Sign and keep players over 35 years old to a 30-40 million contract so they don’t have to trade box office players that have been with the team for over 4 years. But maybe it doesn’t fully take away 100% from the salary Cap. 1/2 gets taken or something like that. Good players like Bron and Butler etc that can play. But you don’t want to sign. But sell jerseys and tickets. Teams get stuck in a catch 22 situation now with better nutrition players are playing longer. Our salary cap is screwed giving Bron 30% + of our $
