All Christian churches that I know, would have taken an offering. The church I grew up in took offerings 3 or 4 times on Sunday. Tyler Perry donated $1 Million to his church to help with the flood. He personally gave Joel Osteen $250,000 for himself. So he shouldn't have taken an offering, but I would have fainted if that had happened and I was there.

They only need tithes and offerings to keep up the maintenance of the church and ministries(bibles, give aways, etc). He said he worked so that he could buy his own modest home and car so he would never be a burden to a church. He also refuses to do love offerings unless it is for someone in need. Shocks the mess out of some visiting pastors 😂

Someone asked the question, did the victims have to pay a "door entry fee?", well they had to pay a lot more to Lakewood Church in order to get aid and shelter. Well here is a list of ALL the fees they had to pay: - Door Entry Fee (cover charge/damages liability) = $100 - Registration Fee (register that you're a storm victim) = $20 - Clean Shoes Fee (so you don't muddy the carpet) = $40 - Pew Fee (for taking up the seats that belong to regular Lakewood church goers) = $60 - Worship Leaders fee (because she has to ask you to give your money, that you don't have) = $80 - Collection Plate Security Staff Fee (because they have to bring the collection plate to you, so that you're not tempted to help yourself to what's already in there) = $100 - Grab Bag Fee (when you leave they give you food you don't like and clothing that doesn't fit) = $200 So all up each destitute/homeless/penniless victim had to pay fees totaling $600!! And out of that $600 this is where that money went: - $140 was the true value of the grab bag + shoes. - $100 was paid to Lakewood staff. - $360 was pocketed by Joel Osteen

Any church would have still taken up an offering because God says to tithe. I truly agree with you. These people make it hard for all the little churches. We have to pay for what they do. The churches that really need the donations and cash to help them minister to the community always have problems and struggle to meet their needs. I had a small little church. I could not afford to pay the rent I had to let it go. Now we are looking for something affordable and it is impossible because the rents are sky high. This was an outreach church where we ministered to very poor people in the inner city. Our church was very poor. I feel so saddened that I had to let it go. Now I cannot minister to those poor people in need. Here we have these greedy mega churches receiving so much money tax free and they do nothing to help the needy. Those pastors need to repent and start figuring out where they will spend eternity. Not one dime of that money will go with them to hell. God forgive me. I am talking about those who are taking advantage of hard working people, poor elderly and sick people. God have mercy on these Pastors with their mega churches. Please help us Lord provide for our small little churches who truly want to help the people in need. Amen!!! Please pray so that the Lord will provide a place where we can open up our church and work with the community and the needy. Blessings to all.
