If you read the books namely the Four book that came out after the first 3 books. Four was in love with her the moment he saw her hit the net so his mean guy act was just that...an act haha. I loved reading it cause it gave us so many insights into his thoughts about her during this time.

Four was giving attitude because if he showed he cared Eric would REALLY be on her case. After he asked her why she thought she could talk to him he immediately warned her to be careful. He knows these people are ruthless 😂

I remember reading Allegiant and being hella confused about the creation of the factions and the timeline of said creation😂 lol. Also it’s odd to be placed into a faction based on one single personality trait💀💀💀 as if being a normal human (multi faceted) is a crime ☠️. But I did enjoy the writing of Tris and Four, Theo James and Shailene had insane chemistry and young me ate that shit up!

Divergent was my first dystopian series, I love the books and I'm still so angry and sad bout how the adaptation went, the only thing they got right was casting Theo James but they destroyed the plot and world building with each movie, the soundtrack was really cool though. I really hope we get a reboot of Divergent that is well done and faithful to the books, the story is actually worth it.

@@LakiaJaiTV Oh, my gosh. That is going to be so intense. There are no disembodied voiceovers breaking the fourth wall in those films, thank God. It shoves you right into the world of Panem and doesn't give you a break. There's also a lot to miss because the director and cinematographer kept it subtle. It forced me to pay attention and I doubt I'm the only one.

I also think that Shailene Woodley is an incredible actress, but like her performance doesn't match Jennifer Lawrence in all Hunger Games movies. Maybe it was not her fault, like they made her seem less badass. In the books her character was so much better

My problem with this series is that I actually read the books so the first movie isn't good to me either lol. They changed so much that it became so cheesy and the pacing and motivations were all over the place which is why the other movies didn't work at all. The casting was also not accurate

I loved this book series so damn MUCH when I first read as a tween. It was probably my first major book series I started besides "The Mortal Instruments" and "Gone." I've never liked movie adaptations of books because they leave out SOOOO much subtext and context because of the failure to translate it properly to an audience that has never read the books who has little to no expectations, or who is a huge fan and has high expectations. It's the main reason who Four seems so wishy-washy in this movie, the context for it isn't there in a way that is clear to the audience, especially if you haven't read the books. It's just always a disappointment, and I am honestly mad at these movies for doing the series so dirty. But I will endure them for your reactions because I love your channel so much. Keep up the good work, Lakia!!! ❤❤❤

Four is divergent, but a lot of sources say he isn't because you have to be 100% divergent (Tris) to be Pure in allegiant, so Four is divergent a little but not pure DNA wise from whatever virus thing that they introduce in the third book because this whole experimental society was slowly trying to make them 100% divergent so if Four had kids they would probably be Pure but he was not high enough percentage wise yet which is why he experiences discrimination in the third book because they don't like anyone that isn't pure (i read them like years ago but I think that's the jist)

I hate that they killed Beatrice’s parents within 10 minutes of each other. It felt like the writers needed her to experience extra trauma quickly to cement her path as divergent. Dauntless was boring. Four and Tris had no chemistry.

Probably because it’s a movie it feels too rushed, in the books when they died there were at least some chapters in between and it felt way more genuine. But sadly you have to cut scene and make stuff move quicker in a film

“Why does it feel like a cult” YEP. Tbh that’s why I like this movie more than most similar films, in spite of how much it’s been criticized. It does a pretty good job of capturing cult dynamics. But humans are very into “cults,” so to me it was just an exaggeration in what I assumed was some kind of future with genetically modified humans. I mean I wouldn’t care about Caleb, but I assume it’s especially that BOTH their kids chose other factions OOPS Not looking in mirrors and using seasoning I assume is just about control. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And forming bonds over I guess suffering XD and common practices. Which does have to do with running society, though not a particularly functional one.

I will enjoy watching this thru your eyes. I never saw past the first one. Low key Theo drew me in. I was so confused and a tad bored. Theo couldn't keep me. And same conflict with Eric. Might read the books at some point. Couldn't hold my attention like other teen dystopia book to movies. Maybe reading the other movie books first helped🤔

I agree the Divergent series has so much potential the plot, setting,world building and the fractions. There's so much you could do with all that but they didn't know what. How about in this world after world war 3 a powerful drug was created that suppresses human emotions. And it only allows people to develop one personality trait selfless,honest, loyal,brave etc. This was done to maintain world peace by making humans more rational and noble and less emotional and flawed. The main character of the series is Four who was born into a Dauntless a warrior fraction that maintains order. The members of Dauntless aren't given names just numbers hence his name Four. Divergents are the only humane that can resist the drug and develop multiple personality traits and emotions. Divergents are seen as dangerous because emotions are deemed dangerous and wrong. Four ends up joining the Divergent resistance with Triss and fighting against the fraction system.
