So to explain what you were wondering, when spirits attack, it affects the real world and normal people can't see the spirits. When an alien attacks, it creates an identical plain that's separate from the real world. So when the aliens are dead or gone, it just seems like nothing ever happened.

Aliens usually mean Void Space (everything going dark, concrete wall, It’s a totally different space etc.) remember the first sumo one, It wasn’t a spirit, It was an Alien. Spirits are invisible to regular people, but the damage made to the zone is still visible to people since they fight in the real world.

People that said there's no SA after ep1 straight lied - there's this and one more at least early season 2 The thing that makes it easier for people, I think, is that we start to learn how Tatsu tells a story, and that he respects charters enough not to go further than this (and he gives the victim agency, as Momo kicking the shit out of the alien in ep1). It's still there, and him mixing humor with serious topics makes it hard to gauge

The vibes are different in this episode, but I def agree that ep 1 and the upcoming scene cross the line. Reading the manga and watching this episode, I never feared for Okaruns weenie in the way that Momo was assaulted in episode 1.

I dont know why people would say theres nothing like that ever again when theres two more "similar" i guess notes. I think the more accurate way to put it was ep1 is the most *uncomftorable* moment and that its not as bad after that. Like this moment is much easier to digest and no where near as uncomftorable as the quite deliberate imagery of SA in ep1

@chriss6297 I think that's it, or in one people don't know DDD and Tatsu, and it could go really bad But in the end DDD is mostly feel good and things work out even if it gets absurd and scary, and as with acro-silke very emotional (but even that ends kind of well, with the mother finding peace). So when Okarun gets stripped later there's this expectation that it will work out, we just wonder how In episode 1 I think many feared it would be akin to Goblin Slayer that wallows a lot in human suffering in disturbing ways
