Heavy Metal is in Germany actually veeeeeery big. Wacken is the biggest metal festival they have. What I have noticed is that other countries are way more open to certain genres and songs...and when I see the US they are really only pop and country focused xD

We had times, where a lot of people were wearing shirts with „hatespeak“ against hip hop on it, while groups like „Anti Hip Hop Alliance“ were the biggest german speaking groups on social media. The screams are inhale which is kinda fucking up the voice but she did well maintaining her voice despite losing the screams at the end of the song. Inhale scream is the most unhealthy technique for screams. Nothing like fry scream and false cord scream which, projected right, don't hurt your voice at all.

​@@TheReenStone ich kenne Lamb Of God und deine Aussage kann ich null nachvollziehen. Die Band von The Voice ist keine Metalband, sondern eine Allroundband. Die sind einfach 100% im Takt und spielen das so sauber und angepasst an ihre Tonlage, plus mega badass, dass man einfach null meckern kann. Ich hab selbst schon in mehreren Bands gespielt und muss dir sagen : mach das erstmal auf dem Niveau nach und dann reden wir weiter ! ^^

You should know that my english skills are not the best tho: Steffi: Thank you very much. Sido: Hello. Mark: I'm so exicted which coach you will choose. Steffi: Me too. Sido: I thought when I turn around I would see men with masks or something like that and then I'm turning around and there are you. Incredible. So who are you? Steffi: Hi I'm Steffi Stuber from Aalen in swabia and I'm 23. Sido: ...and for lunch I like bat heads. Steffi: Amongst other things with garnish. Sido: Crazy. So what do you do for a living? Are you a tax consultant or something like that? Steffi: I'm trained car saleswoman but sadly I'm job seeking again at the moment. Rae: How about music? Steffi: I would love to. Thats why I'm here. Rae: Absolutly. Sido: So we all were impressed. Of course in comparision to the classic female singers its something completly different. Still we all turned around cause we like it and believe that its really refreshing this show. And I mean in the battles when you scream at your opponent, doesn't matter who it is he will just run away. Rae: Sido turned around secounds before me and then I saw his face and he was like "what??" and I thouht its more people on stage. But I mean metal music in germany is massive, wacken is sold out within ten minutes. There are millions that love this music. It's polarizing, you love it or you say I don't understand it but you come from this hard metal voice to these hights and you are so secure at these high tones and you are damn good and you deserve to be here today at the voice of germany. I'm very happy about it. Steffi: Me too, thank you very much. Mark: To be honest I was certain that you are a man. Steffi: Thanks, thats what everybody thinks of me. Mark: ...and then I hesitated at the singing parts and when i turned around it immediatly made sense to me cause you performed so energetic. Rae: Yeah. Mark: I was once in Wacken in the audience... Sido: Of course in the audience! Rae: Mark I would love to see how you would perform on Wacken Main Stage. Steffi: I would love to see that too. Mark: Hey Wacken, doesn't matter what will come it will be good. (It's part of the lyrics of one of his german songs. Without "hey wacken" of course) Sido: Your only song that you could play is au revoir and then turn and leave. Steffi: But without basecap, it's not very useful for headbanging. Mark: I would only do that with a knights armor, thats the only way I would imagine. Alice: Steffi I'm incredibly fascinated by your voice. I once had a course how to learn screaming... Well he is a rapper...) You completly understood what she wanted. Exercise done. Mark Forster ladies and gentlemen. So decide, now. Steffi: I decice. Sido: One, two or three. (Reference to a german quizshow for kids: "Eins, zwei oder drei") Steffi: One, two or three, okay. I gotta say, I already had two favourites. But I also do like to decide with the heart and I heared what you all have said and offered. And I go to the team... Mark Forster. Steffi: It was just too great. Mark: Thank you so much. Its very hard to not only perfect the growl without damaging your vocal cords but also be able to switch gears so quickly. Whoever she picked as her coach did NOT do a great job picking her songs because from then on it was just... a poor showcase of her talents.

Also I think it's awesome how she knew she could sing really well but she went on there and did Lamb of God but included her cleans AND turned all 4 judges. She could have easily sang a more mainstream song to show off her singing voice but she's metal AF and she wants everybody to know it!
