That little girl was also standing transfixed the entire video. The looks seemed to wonder why everyone was running away. One of the things us metal people get teary eyed over is the next generation hearing metal for the first time. Theres that 1 in 500 that it'll be a revelation for. Like wow someone feels what I feel. That's also why I watch react channels.

Gotta say I also resonate with this song as well. My mother is a functional alcoholic, and she's been drinking since I was little. Even when my grandmother (her mum) was dying of cancer she held it over my mother's head to get her to stop. Props to you dude. Many with parents that suffer from alcoholism, end up turning to it. Very cool. Just recently discovered your channel from watching Lost in Vegas, you definitely provide a unique look into the metal songs I've loved for years.

It's weird seeing Randy with a shaved head. Maybe he's trying to do a cosplay of Jens Kidman from Meshuggah. Randy did sort of sound like him on Lamb of God's earlier work, most notably As the Palaces Burn. As for my recommendation, I think you should check out Protest The Hero - C'est La Vie. Very different kind of metal than what I've seen you react to. Dude has a PHENOMENAL voice and his lyrics are very tounge-in-cheek and humorous at first glance, but upon analyzing them, they allude to darker things. It's fantastic.

@davidcraft85246 жыл бұрын
Ramon Gomez .....yes, the duke is an amazing song. If you loved the way Slipknot slowed down on the song Snuff, this is kinda the same thing...not really slowed down but more cleaned up vocals. Randy wrote this song about a fan that he met and became close with that was fighting cancer and eventually passed away. It is super deep.

Looking through your videos, and I'm liking it more and more. And it's also really inspiring to hear someone who's mother's been an alcoholic. Mine was as well, and it killed her in the end. I myself have never struggled with alcoholism in the classic sense myself, but it's only recently that I decided that I would quit drinking, because it essentially doesn't really give me a whole lot. A sober life is much more giving. Also, hella great song, and thanks for the good energy you bring, looking forward to following you moving forward!

Love that you're kinda new to the metal genres and subgenres. Based on the songs you've heard and liked so far, I have a ton of suggestions for you (like literally everyone else commenting your videos). So much to explore. But you should head back to Trivium, give Built to Fall a chance. A couple of more suggestions: All That Remains - Not Alone In Flames - Cloud Connected, Only for the Weak, Trigger (and then watch Soilwork - Rejection Role right afterwards. See the link?) A Day To Remember - All I Want This is a VERY short list, but I'm supposed to be sleeping so that's all I can do for now. Just can't stop watching these reaction videos. If you've got the time, and people agree, give these ones a shot and I'll come back with more. Keep headbanging \m/

Loved this reaction, this video was hilarious. Fun Fact: Hardcore is a genre of Heavy Music (And one you should check out in your reaction videos). Hardcore started in the 80's as an offshoot from Punk, with bands like Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Black Flag, and The Misfits. There is also a huge drug/alcohol free community within Hardcore, It's call Straight Edge. Which has been a huge influence on the underground music scene since the 80's. Hardcore later took a more metallic turn with bands like Cro-mags and Agnostic Front that lead to crossover bands like Suicidal Tendencies, DRI, and Leeway. Metalcore was eventually birthed as a more commercial and mainstream melding of the two genres, bands like Jinjer, Architects, KSE, A Day to Remember fall into that category. So, if you ever wondered where Metalcore came from, the core comes from Hardcore. A lot of Hardcore today sounds like metal, most notably CODE ORANGE, Knocked Loose, Twitching Tongues, Harm's Way, and Turnstile. All solid bands with amazing live shows. Stagedives and High Fives!

How’d you stop the urge to drink? Been wanting to quit but having a hard time
@christiangermanowski48596 жыл бұрын
SnufflyRaccoon wasn't easy. I quit smoking and drinking at the same time. I was still dipping though so when I did want to drink I would usually just pack my lip. Outside of that it was a shit ton of water. I drank alot ot water to flush my system and I kind of told myself that water was vodka, tea was whiskey, etc etc. I dont know if it actually helped but i did that. Quitting dip was super hard. I replaced that with coffee grounds. So instead of putting dip in my lip, I'd fill my tin with folgers and use that. It was the mental stimulus of having something there, even if it ismt actually alcohol or nicotine
@impossible71636 жыл бұрын
SnuffyRaccoon... You didn't ask me and I haven't been able to completely stop drinking, but... I don't think the urge will ever go away, for me at least. Christian said about drinking a lot of water, that helped me too. And eating properly. I also try to think that the hangovers make me feel so fucking bad mentally that I always weigh it in my mind "Would drinking be worth it?"... Usually I can tell myself that it would not. And when I wake up in the morning and think that "wow, I woke up hangover free", it is a really good feeling. So try to find that good feeling, maybe.
@ZepG6 жыл бұрын
Valtteri Manala My problem is I hardly ever get a hangover and have only had a few headaches in my 50 years, my tolerance level is way to high also. A few weeks ago the family was out of town and I drank a whole 30 pack in one sitting then slept for 12 hours and woke up feeling fine. I also have only puked 3 times in my life from drinking, I'm like a Super Hero "Alcohol Man".

I used drink when I went to nightclubs, but I made a promise never to get drunk on my own, I live on the 8th floor and I don't want to see if I could fly if I get down when smashed.. I apologise, you have reacted to a Tool song. But may I recommend H as the next track? H or Aenima?

You should sometimes react to Avenged Sevenfolds "A little piece of heaven". It's something very different. Keep your good work up. Greetings from Germany

This is one of the few times where the edited video is actually funnier than the uncensored version, because they timed the video where a lot of the actions block out the word. For example, the first come “this is your motherfucking invitation“ in the censored version, it’s this is your and then you hear the sound of the door cracking the guys skull

The video has always reminded me about the time when I was in a punk band, and we got invited to play at a children's disco party after a chidrens fashion show. We did't know that untill we arrived. Long story short - we got drunk, played the show, and got kicked out because we kept drinking backstage. Damn I still have a pic with mefull on screaming in the mic, rocking a mohawk, and a little girl has put her arms to her ears in the background. Good o'l days...

Fun fact I did know, I seen them live when they were Burn the Priest. It was hard to get shows and that is why Lamb of God was used. Easy to get shows if you just look at the name. I have seen them 10 times or so, always a blast to see them live and even met them.

One thing u probably don't know is the lead singer never expected to make this kind of music, he did his screams and stuff as a gag, just for fun and it turned out people love it. He never expected to become what he is now
