Unfortunately I'm stuck with Tabs for now. But I hear ya about some tabs. Especially that "Blackened" tab. One time I thought I was ordering the tab for "Iron Maiden" as in their 1st album from a Local Guitar store Years ago. When it arrived I was appalled to see it was The 1st 4 albums HORRIBLY Transcribed. Funny thing is I had seen the Book before and Flagged it as a Do not purchase. But like I said I ordered it without seeing it(Oh the days Before I discovered Amazon) So I couldn't get my money back. I'm tempted to put it up on eBay or Amazon. But I can't do that to a fellow Maiden fan lol. Oh well Live And Learn \m/

I'd just to start off by saying all the best on the job front in the new year and and I hope that you are able to find something that you will enjoy and for the job to be close to home for you.I really have enjoyed your covers and look forward to seeing many more.I'm out of work myself but i am hoping that this new year with be good to me cos if and when i've got money behind me i will be looking into buying a new guitar and amp which at this time im going to be getting another B.C.rich warlock cos the last one that i had i really enjoyed playing it anyways that's all i have to say see take care mate and all the best in the new year.

Eh there brother i tried to send you an email but it's being a pain in the ass! I wanted to let you know I still want the guitar and am still saving for it slowly unfortunately.my windshield crack really bad the other day & I have to get newtires as well before it gets any colder here in portland.so it most likely wwon't be until February sometime before I'll have all the cash saved up.thank you again so much for your patience & understanding, not a lot of people would be this cool!! Hey Mike, you don't have to keep giving reasons why. It's no dramas at all. Honestly this job is pretty intense. I've just dropped back in for Xmas with the family, then straight back out 7 days a week for another 12-20 days. I took a guitar with me on the road but I think I played it for an hour the whole trip. I think youtube is going to slow down for me a little, at least until I get into another routine. I had a quality issue with my Adrian Smith SDX that I ordered online. If the high E string slid off the neck it would get pinched under the frets. But I loved the feel of the guitar so much that I sent it back for an exact replacement rather than a full refund. Have had no problems with my replacement. Awesome guitar and a steal at $500!

That's cool that they replaced it, don't be afraid to challenge sub standards when buying online. I got a full refund for the Charvel So Cal including shipping.

LambChopper678 I recently got a set of emg 57/66 and after 3 months the 57 stopped working . Contacted emg let them know I got it from authorized emg dealer on the ebay and I was from Australia happy to send it in and heard nothing back . I guess being from Australia it gets filed under the who gives a fuck basket even tho it apparently has a 2year warranty . Not always easy getting companys to listen from this side of the pacific . Oh well live and learn . Glad you got your axe sorted . Btw who sorted out the Charvel The seller or the Charvel themselves ?

It was actually under the eBay money back guarantee scheme. The guitar was defective but the seller told me to file a damaged in transit form and take photos for eBay. It opened a case and eBay sent me a message saying that I will be refunded the full amount. I asked where I should take the guitar to send it back and they didn't want it. I still sent all the photos to Charvel and described all the defects (all details on my Facebook) They said sorry about the guitar but you should take it up with the dealer. I told them about my channel and that I didn't really want to give a bad review about a defective guitar. They didn't respond. Long story short, I fixed the guitar. It plays and sounds fantastic. I don't have much to complain about but eBay paid the price instead of Charvel... That's my only rant

Thebadseed77 That's pretty standard for EMG if you contacted them by email, to get no answer. Don't let it sway you, give them a call and they will give you a RMA for testing and eventual exchange. They took down the forum the had because they didn't have anyone from tech support to post or answer questions,

Thanks mate, youtube really need to streamline the search engine for videos. I've done well over 100, maybe 200 vids. It's a pain trying to find some of them. On my channel main page I've grouped videos by artist but they only give you 10 or so playlists to work with.

Your conclusion was more music to the ear, I have not doubt that millions of friendships were won and lost due to the accuracy of Metallica tab. Hey do you play Poison and do you have tips to the lick CC uses as his shredding fundamental. Its some type of 2 string alternate picking. You can here it in 'let me go to the show' and leads like that.

Thanks mate, I got a step down transformer from Jaycar for about $100. You have to turn it off at the wall after you're finished as the transformer gets hot after a day or so

Interesting QaA man. Good job. I was wondering if you had any tips or techniques when it came to learning by ear? I'll still occasionally look at tab, but if it's a song that I really like I try to learn by ear but struggle to some extent with certain riffs. Ive been learning by ear for 30 years. Started with records. In recent years as the internet took over I found looking at Tabs would help point me in the right direction at least. Many different tuning s now. Other people have done the hard part. After I see that I am in the right ballpark I let my ear do the rest. I have grown to trust it over the years.

Hey Lambchopper, I've been playing acoustic guitar on and off for a year now, and I'm wanting to move on to electric. I'm a huge fan of Kirk Hammett and Metallica in general so I plan on getting the ESP LTD KH-602, but I need an amp. I mainly play Metallica stuff and on acoustic it's fine, but I'm ready to sound more evil. In example, I'm trying to play the main riff from The Frayed Ends of Sanity, and it doesn't sound right on acoustic. Not a very good choice to play 'Tallica on acoustic, lol. Playing Metallica on acoustic is like trying to drive a car without gas. So I was wondering if you can give me some pointers on moving to electric and how to sound like Metallica. Thanks a lot!

Sure mate, the 602 is a great guitar but spend some time learning how to set up the floyd rose. I did a tutorial on it a few years ago that should help. As for an amp for that tone you need a Boogie mk iic+ or mk V. No other amp sounds similar. They are expensive but I'd get a Mark V 25watt or the mini dual rectifier. It's probably your cheapest option for a mesa amp. If you buy anything else you'll always wonder how metallica get their tone.

what kind of recording device do you use for your KZbin clips? is it a separate video and separate audio recorder that you edit together or is it one device. for some reason my audio comes out like its under water when I use a cellphone or laptop

i was wondering wich string gauge would be best for D standard/C# Without being to tight for E standard. i have 10s on my guitar atm and they feel to floppy in D standard so om guessing 11s? but wont that be a bit tight for E?
