This bike is for the Guy who is suffering a sever mid life crisis. They say the answer is not at the bottom of a bottle, and they are correct. The answer is on the seat of a Hayabusa. People this bike IS the answer, it is the answer to all your problems. This bike will make you smile, giggle like a teenager on weed and laugh like you have never laughed before. Trust me, the Hayabusa is the answer, it;s the answer to everything the universe can throw at you.

Just love what they did with gen 3. Really smart, and it's still undeniably a Hayabusa. A perfect candidate for riser bars, dropped pegs and some nice luggage. A longer-range jet for the tarmac. Awesome.
@multibusa2 жыл бұрын
Hi do you know of a link to any lowered pegs if they still exist? I’m sure Heli will do clip on risers. I put Givi hard luggage on my gen 1 and gen 2 Busa. I purchased a multi purpose fitting kit from Give which enabled me to fit my Wingrack off my old Blackbird, the only extra thing I needed was a length of m12 stainless threaded rod that I fit behind the reg plate to fix the to sections of Wingrack together. The set up was solid and easily carried 2 Givi panniers and a large Givi top box. Cheers

I had one of the original copper and silver ones back when they first came out in 1999 and I found that one really smooth and much nicer to ride than the TL1000R I had before. When I saw that they had brought it back with a 2021 spec and at £16.5k I must admit that I'm tempted, its a toss-up between this, the ZH2, H2 SX SE or Triumph speed triple 1200 RS all quite different I know so I'll have to get to the dealers to try them. As to what it's for.... mmm when I have the same question of my 2020 Rocket 3R, that's in a category all its own and I think the Hayabusa and its history is just one of those bikes that is the same. So maybe two odd balls in the same garage would go well together and roll on back to 1999 :-)

Welcome Mr Droid 👋 I haven't ridden then 1200 RS yet of course but out of the other bikes you listed the Busa would be my preference.. I actually think it's faster than the H2SX but not as quick as the ZH2. I thought the comfort was only slightly better than my H2 until I rode it Sunday and realised its like a comfy sofa in comparison and in a good way! It's a more rounded package than the ZH2 where suspension is the weak point. Go ride them all 😎👍

I'm 50 and I only rode adventure bikes, for 30+ years. Touring on a sport bike is too much for my untrained wrists. But this bike has a point for just commuting, I think I can do 1h on it. Except I'm considering S1000RR as well. Which one would be better to split lanes, move fast (torque), be comfy, repel rain, last longer and be an overall winner, would be a nice movie to produce 🙂

The speed king has created a category of its own. There's no records to break anymore, so why not make a hyper continent smashing cruiser. My local Suzuki dealer are selling these in spades. This bike maybe setting another standard we haven't thought of yet, let's face it, it won't be the first time Suzuki have invented the rules.
@timsalabimbombassa3 жыл бұрын
I disagree, Kawasaki’s ZZR1100 was the first hyperbike. Very roomy and utterly mad.
@johnnygeorgopoulos407211 ай бұрын
Yup, he skipped the ZX11 and even the CBRXX, both of which were years before the Busa, and both of which held the fastest bike crown with only 1100cc..... Suzuki had to go ahead and cheat, throwing more capacity at it instead of playing within the clearly set rules 😅🙄
@niallodriscoll33994 ай бұрын
@johnnygeorgopoulos4072, Then for kawasaki to completely and utterly spit their dummy out and introduce the H2, with a supercharger slapped to it! Completely unnecessary!! So calling Suzuki 'cheaters' because they added a couple of hundred cc more to the engine is a bit of a reach don't you think?! Plus, Chop's owns one, and has ridden the other, and he has said on one if his videos that the Hayabusa is the better all-rounder, as over the years, Suzuki have basically perfected their flagship machine by not focusing totally on performance.

I had the 1st gen copper silver, upgraded the forks with progressive springs and race valves, installed a full titanium tri oval Yosh system, reduced weight wherever I could, and bugger all no one could beat me on the road, twisties and all, even with the misses holding on for dear life behind me. Those were the days. And I lived to tell the tale. Before the Busa, I'd never ridden a bike that could go from 80 to 160 in three breaths. I will say, I do like the look of the new bird. On a more personal note, to those who say you can't tour it, I rode mine from California to Utah, in the winter no less, and though I almost lost fingers and toes to frostbite (thank God for hotels with hottubs), I was able to do the impossible on a bike that was and still is incredible. I want the new one. Can I ride it to Mars? I'd like to try.

Hi fella thanks for the great review. I’m in the meerkat for a new bike. Previously [over a decade ago] I’ve had 2 gen 1’s and a gen 2. I’m between 6’2" - 6’3" depending on time of day and like you I found issues with high pegs on my knees on my previous Busa’s. I was however able to purchase some aftermarket pegs which were about 25mm lower and a little further back [i think]. Unfortunately I never got to do many miles before selling the bike so I don’t remember if the made much difference . Every review I’ve seen so far seem to rave about this gen 3 Busa and it’s gotten me excited. However I’m now 10 years older so at 60 I’m wondering how I’ll be impacted in my knees by the Busa’s high pegs. It will be interesting to see if those lowered pegs are still available. So back to the question, in the real world if this Busa were your only bike, would the high pegs cause you enough discomfort to irritate you or even put you off buying the bike? I’d really appreciate your input. Btw I live in the IOM and the Suzuki dealer does bot have a demonstrator that I could try. Cheers

This is clearly going to be an option for anybody who doesn’t track their bike much, wants something that handles well, modern electrics, doesn’t cost silly money, proper quick and can be ridden for a while without cramping up. So in other words the majority of riders. I really like it, but then I’ve always liked busa’s. The one thing by I can’t take my eye off is that weird bronze/copper colour, why didn’t they just black it all out as a nod to the gen 1 Z model? I loved watching this review as a busa owner since 2007. I completely agree with most of it but I apologize to differ with regards to a busa on track. I was miles faster on my busa on track days than any sports bike I have owned or ridden. Please forgive me but playing devil's advocate. The main point that I disagreed with was that on track you would find the limits quickly. You are kind of correct but to ride busas really fast you go slightly beyond the limits on the way in and throttle out again slightly beyond the limits of grip, I have never had a bike that I felt so comfortable late braking and over steering on the way out. my point being you steer a busa with the torque and less handlebar input. It takes time to gain enough confidence and desensitizing to the speed to ride them fast in twisties. They come into their own around 90mph, below that they are a handful so the fastest way round a corner is a bit more old school than the more modern geometry where slightly out of control is really really very fff fast🤣 Sorry for the rant, night shift head
