I could listen to this piece incessantly. I am not aware of the context of this piece, however, it is whimsical, intriguing and deeply emotional. I am deeply grateful that I was able to find this recording.

It's at the famous Eastman Theatre in Rochester, NY, where the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra performs and where the famous Mercury Living Presence American Music Series (with Howard Hanson and Frederick Fennell) was recorded in the 1950s and 1960s.
