Sixringsgaming no kidding because Parker has to be less than 6' and Doug is 6' 4". I'm 6' 6" and I was able to drive a Gallardo but couldn't really fit in a Diablo. Most mid engine cars are a struggle for me. And Dodge Vipers, new Camaros, pre 1999 911's.... The 2 cars that were by far the worst were a Lotus Elise and a Ferrari 308. I seriously had to have 2 buddies pull me out of them. Especially the Elise. Normally once I get in a small car I can drive them fine, but both of those are so small that I had a really hard time working the pedals and steering wheel because my legs were so crammed lol.

Posteriote means "rear mounted", not mid mounted, in italian centrale=mid, posteriore=rear, frontale=front Although it's called "posteriore" the engine is actually mid mounted, maybe with "posteriore" they meant that it's positioned behind the seats

I was 18 years of age and went to the Sydney, Australia motor show in mid-1987. There was a white 1987 White Countach QV. Yes ...it looked amazing. Next to it was a 1979 Ferrari Boxer 512BB. The Countach owner amazingly told us that after he finished with displaying his '87 Countach all over the Australasian motor shows, he would trade it in for the Ferrari Boxer . . . we were stunned. Why ...I asked. He said the Countach was a nightmare to drive and could not really be driven at night; had trouble parking it and those horrid "scissor doors" were horrendous. Wow . . . I was amazed.

have you never watched ''Count's Kustoms'' ? Danny schools Roli on how to back up his Countach..... lift door, sit on door ledge with feet by gas and clutch pedals, put in reverse and look backward over wing and back up. Danny even says that's how Lamborghini recommends backing the car up.
@keyboarddancers77517 жыл бұрын
The correct model designation is Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole. The previous model was Countach LP500 S. "The LP stands for 'longitudinale posteriore', which means 'longitudinally in the rear' in Italian and refers to engine orientation and placement". (ref Wiki.) And the emphasis is on the second syllable - koonTAASH.

@vernonbear6 жыл бұрын
As I’ve driven a couple of these I can tell you that you hop up onto the sill and use the accurate clutch control alone to control the reverse, the engine has buckets of torque so it’ll pull the car backwards on zero throttle. It’s not an the easiest technique but it means you have the best view. Not invented by Clarkson either, he just demonstrated it on Top Gear. Personally I was slightly disappointed when I first drove a Countach, it was THE car to drive when I was a kid, once I got a chance to drive one as an adult the child inside my brain was properly excited, in reality it was hot, sweaty and hard work. You should never meet your idols I guess.

The Lamborghini Countach I feel is so Lamborghini, which should be very obvious but hear me out. It's really out there, it has huge fender flares and a red interior with a bunch of squares and right angles around everything. Also, instead of trying to make something that will always look beautiful, they made someone that looks like a cheese wedge. A gorgeous, wide and low cheese wedge with a V12. They didn't bother trying to make it lowkey, oh no. They have the option of a huge wing, they put 345 tires, a screaming V12, big exhaust tips, flared out fenders, a boxy everything. It's a beautiful machine.

I remember when I 1st drove this Car my boss had me Take it to the San Francisco Moscone Center well it was very Cool driving it & just music to the ears as you Shift gears at high RPM ... but kinda scary too the car is so low to the Ground you feel like your 8" above the floor and you can see under most cars or trucks in front of you. The Clutch was a bit hard to push to shift.., and the most Funny thing I had was I couldn't get out of the car lol I was like where's the door handle. So after awhile I finally found that the hole in the door you put your hand in & the handle is above the inside the hole. I did like the sound the door makes when it slides up to the sky .. it's like a vacuum whooshing sound. Well that's my experience in the Lambo at age 19

I would imagine the reason for the split windows would have something to do with the scissor doors and the way the windows are shaped. With just a single piece of glass it probably would have been very easy to break.
@TheSupradude267 жыл бұрын
james staggs it's because there isn't enough room in the door for more than about 4" of the window to roll down into it, so rather than having a full size window where it only opens 4" at the very top, they split it like this so the opening would be closer to the bottom of the window. If that makes sense.
