Lamborghini Gallardo Ultimate Buyers Guide | WATCH THIS FIRST

👋 Today we go over a full buyers guide to the Lamborghini Gallardo! I'll go over some history about the Gallardo through it's 10 year lifespan, along with some of the many versions and special editions, then talk about maintenance and reliability along with costs associated with owning the Lamborghini Gallardo. The Gallardo was introduced at the 2003 Geneva Auto show and came out as a 2004 model year. The second generation car came out as a 2009 model year and ran till the 2014 model year. Overall Lamborghini made 14,022 units with tons of special editions. These car pack a naturally aspirated V10 ranging from 500 HP to 570 HP. Starting out as a 5.0L Lamborghini built engine, and then utilizing the 5.2L Audi built motor. The Gallardo is pretty easy to maintain and pretty reliable overall. The E-Gear transmission is the biggest thing you need to watch. The hydraulic pump going out or the clutch wearing out is the biggest concern. Not really all too expensive and the newer cars can last a good 50k miles before those need replacing. Very raw to drive car with a ton of character and these things are fun! With any car look for a decent history with maintenance. The Gallardos are 10-20 year old cars now, so finding perfect maintenance and low owners is hard to find. So as long as it's decent and the car itself is in nice shape. You should have a pretty solid car. Do a good maintenance when you buy one and that should about bring one of these back to life!

The Gallardo keeps its value too. It just does. I would figure the Huracan would be the next step up?

Yeah these cars have held steady for the last 10 years. While the Huracan is the newer version. Huracan is a lot more tame and less raw. It's a better car, but not something I'd sell this car for. It looses the raw character. The Aventador still has the old school raw driving feeling especially with the single clutch transmission. So if you like the raw driving experience of the G, the Aventador would be the next step up. I wouldn't mind having a Huracan next to the Gallardo. More modern, faster and easier to drive. But these cars to me are about the drama. Aventador would be some fun as my next Lambo in the future.

Great car! Can you drive in sport mode, with the auto trans selected, or do you have to use the shifter paddles in sport mode?

Thanks! Yes you can be in automatic sport. It's very aggressive in that mode and will hold the gears pretty high. So it's pretty good for fun roads if you don't want to use the paddles. Normal roads you'd want to stick with auto and normal mode

Many people in Malaysia who spotted a Lamborghini Gallardo often pronounced the name wrong by saying GALLARDO because the two Ls are sounded which rhymes with the evil Claude Frollo from Victor Hugo's novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame and its old 1996 animated Disney film adaptation. Any concerns?

Interesting. I just say it how the Italians pronounce it. The LL is pronounced like a Y from the people at Lamborghini

Yeah seems like it. I don't rally pay much attention tho when I'm driving. But people definitely take pictures and break necks when I pass them.
