READ: The other day in Mexico - Me and Amy lined up my Lamborghini Murcielago (Full Larini Exhaust) vs. the Nissan GT-R Premium (Cobb Y-Pipe & AccessPort). I was very surprised by the outcome! I thought it'd be the exact opposite...the GT-R would pull down low then the Murcielago at higher speeds, but not so.
In terms of production quality I think this is probably one of my best videos to date. If you enjoyed it definitely let me know so I can create more like it :)

For you people that are so surprised by the Nissan GTR's speed. It is because it has a 3.8L twin turbo V6 and has a 0-60 of 2.9 seconds while the murcialago has a time of around 3.4 seconds.

I know. It was my mistake. I completely forgot about the paddle shifter when I was replying. I was merely recalling info from another video I saw about how it shifts in automatic a couple hundred milliseconds. Other videos do mention paddle shifting but that slipped my mind when replying. In any case, I'm glad you did use Google to your advantage.

@Nicholas Polanco gtr doesnt have dual clutch but yes the gtr's automated manual is way quicker than any manual.

The suggested retail price is actually around $80k but typically they sell for around 90k-110k because Nissan dealerships need have their own shop, tool, and alignment machine for just the GTR. So if the dealerships want to sell the GTR, they have to spend a lot of money upgrading their garage, thus the mark up.

The GT-R got an automatic double clutch gearbox, the Murcielago got a manual single clutch gearbox. There is the difference.

The GT-R (2012 model) is my favorite car of the moment, but indeed, the semi-manual transmission is the thing that puts me off... Also did you know that the GT-R has a separate transmission for the even and odd gears? That's why it can shift immediately instead of having to wait until the transmission is ready to shift gears like with all other cars.

GTR is in the US bro. AMS out of Chicago is producing the Alpha Omega GTR at over 1000 hp. However, the '02 Lingenfelter Vette is quicker by half a second on both 0-60 AND 1/4 mile ET. We're talking about a Vette that was prepped 10 yrs ago. Skyline is just too heavy for a grudgematch with Corvette. My two cents...

They're both stock. It's just that the double clutch gearbox in the GT-R is damn amazing. You can see the GT-R catches up in the shifts.

@ftfdgerardo gtr's twin turbos are stock. its how its made on its v6. and a 2013 gtr vs a 2013 aventador is nearly equal when it comes to 0-60 and quarter mile. and that is sad considering that the aventador gas twice as many cylinders and cost 3 times as much to.

Its not all about money though. With the Murcielago you get striking looks, a high-pitched V12 sound, a unique driving position, manual gearbox, etc. If you are on a budget, the GT-R is a better choice of course, but from a driving point of view... both cars are good, regardless of price.
