Man, this video is something else... It was a beutifull gesture... I spend 5 years in the UK working on the NHS, from porter to Nursing assistance and must confess working in the NHS is not a walk in the park and every single person should be thankfull of any care they get from the staff, It was a hard journey from "Go back to your country!!!" to memories that I still cry when I remember them, saw so many good persons go.. But the pure joy of seeing someone getting back to their feets and leave the hospital, was the best payment I got, thank you for what you did to this amazing person... I've been follwing you for a long time now, first time commenting... I'm always iching for a new video... Awesome channel mate, congrats. If I was still in the UK, I would definetly try and visit you and see all those great projects...

Hey Mat, Johnny here from South Africa - Cape Town, firstly I want say you thank you as you made me shed a tear ...again by your generosity towards your supporters. I saw one video on FB around 2 months back about your back then Green Lambo engine startup/repair and decided to started watching the series, then subscribe and liked most of your videos here on KZbin and starting watching all the other playlist "series" of car repairs you have done over the years, currently on the Range Rover series and will continue to watch the rest of the vids. You have restore faith in humanity and at the same time inspired me to attempt some repairs myself in the coming future, from a young lad that you are and yet so hard working and wise and yet down to earth...thank you. I will never be able to enter one of your lucky car draw (unless it can be shipped to RSA..lol) but will attempt to purchase at least a hoody if it can be shipped to South Africa or will buy one if either myself or a friend visit England in the near future.

As a paramedic myself...I know and can relate to the struggles of underpaid while dealing with soooo much trauma and death of all ages all while trying to keep calm as you do your job. Seeing others who are not in the medical field caring for some who is and struggling gives me hope again. Well done sir👍🏼

I come from a military family, everyone was in some form or another Me and My Grandad were RAF, My brother was a Tank Driver, Great Grandfather was a merchant Navy man etc, but I think in terms of people who should be thanked for their service the most, its First Responders. Yeah basic training the in military is gruelling, but its like 23 weeks. Sure a tour of duty is traumatic, but you rotate out... First Responders, Firefighters, Paramedics, Armed Response. They dont get shore leave, they dont get rotated out, and are often expected to do extended or 12 hour shifts with little or no consideration for the hours, or pay because 'its a vocation'. No. I think first responders should have an appreciation day, just like rememberance sunday, veterans day, etc because these people are in the shit, 12 hours a day, often 7 days a week with little or no reprieve for years at a time, thats true dedication. Think about it, every day you're at work, every call you go to is the worst day of someones life. And you're seeing that multiple times a day. I've been considering doing a tuition course for people who want to learn to use Unreal, and one of the first decisions I made drawing up the business plan wasnt to discount it for First Responders but to offer it for free. Because having worked a while in the sector myself as a dispatcher, the value of coming home and being able to switch off the side of your brain experiencing the trauma and get lost in something else is difficult, so just being able to offer a course that not only provides some practical upshot but acts almost as a sort of therapy or wind down tool to take peoples mind off the trauma, even for a few hours a night, feels like a good thing to do.
