Rob, Nice job on this and every video you have done in the past - you have the best info on the KZbin for Lambretta and you do such a good job with your video format and explanation - excellent work!

Nice one. That job can be a right pain. I usually extend the spring by inserting washers inbetween the «rings». Been working well for me so far.
@kickbackgarage2 жыл бұрын
I also do that and hane made a video on it. The problem here was the spring grove on the stand being too narrow.

@@kickbackgarage Yeah love how you solved it with the hammer in the end. The hammer, one of my favourite tools. 🤪🥳🔨

Exact same thing happened to my Casa lower fork race, replaced with an MB one and it went on perfectly.

Binge Watched your last S2 build and will be studying this build too and use them as reference as going to be carrying out the same build soon. Fitting the Cables, Loom & Electrics step by step would be great. Also love that when you sign off every video by saying my Surname 🙂.

Hahaha. Bonus points to you sir! I'm actually struggling a bit on this build because of an unexpected hitch! I'll obviously bore you all to death with the details as soon as I've finished with the kickback garage lambretta shock release.

Strange how something as simple as fitting a stand can be so difficult sometimes and normally when the paint is fresh and perfect. Had a bottom race snap like that once. Now I put a thin smear of grease on the fork and heat the race up until its almost glowing then normally it slips straight on with just a couple of taps to get it tight home. Also now always use the loose ball set up for the bearing itself as it makes the steering smoother than the stock cage type. Legshield fitting with all those different shaped rubber spacers would be good to see. Also toolbox rubber fitting which I find a pain. And badge fitting on new paint work. TIA Rob

Ok Shaun. All noted. Toolbox rubber is a pet hate of mine, could be an entertaining video 😂

I'm pretty sure that it is in the jockeys video after flicking through it. I haven't taken down any of my videos.

Any thoughts or suggestions for a late Series 3...I bought a new SIP tapered steering bearing kit but the original lower frame dust cover doesn't want to fit over it...CASA have recommended to leave dust cover off...

Rimini are grown ups. Do as they say. The one I bought didn't fit at all.
