Lamentoso from String Sextet in G-flat major, 2nd Movement

I enjoyed the pauses at the start, mesto and end parts. and oh my, the dynamic range, pppp (?) - it's so impressive, I can't believe it can be actually used to such an effect - even as the register had been going up till that pt and with a decrescendo afterwards...

Thank you! I think the start provides a good break from the first movement. The first movement ends fluently in high register without any rest, so I use rests and the low register of the violas and cellos here for contrast. And I like that pppp Misterioso passage too. The pppp is maybe a distant memory from the heaven, I don’t know. Henry
