I miss you Ryu. Didn't get into knowing the designers until a year before you passed. Over 60% of my collection was cast by Ryu purely because our tastes are so similar. You're the best friend I never met.

Thank you Ryu, for all of your beautiful contributions over the many years you gave us. I must admit that I never realised how many great modern Matchbox cars he did, or reworkings of 1960s cars such as the Lamborghini Miura, Lotus Europa, Porsche 914 and Volvo P1800. I will have to dedicate a display cabinet to some of my favourites he designed. Rest In Peace.....

I have lots of models that were designed by Ryu and I love them. Losing such talented and good designer as Ryu is big loss for everyone collecting HW's. Thank you Mr Asada for all. His models will always be in center of my collection.

Hot Wheels needs to do a AMC Pacer, wouldn't that be cool! Also my favorite cars are the Gassers....someday Hot Wheels should do a 55 Chevy in just plain flat grey primer with no logos like from the movie "Two Lane Blacktop. A 1957 Chevy Gasser would be a MASSIVE hit with collectors.

I was not at all a fan of the tooned stuff that was done years ago, but those "Tall Boys" are awesome! (I couldn't quite catch the correct term for them, as I'm HoH) They've got a much more unique style to them than the original tooned stuff, which ended up just looking like balloon versions of regular cars. Looking forward to seeing more of them and picking both of those up.

The silver (or Zamac?) Bugatti Chiron will be a hot item. The "tall boy" cars are interesting (the VW Beetle is cool). Nice to see new stuff, way more interesting than the 50th recolor of another Datsun 510 Wagon. Thanks for the preview.

I love the 928 and im actually working on some customs of that at the moment. Him bringing it up made my ears prick up a bit with the hope of a possible new casting in the near future along with the 944.

One color I hope they make the Porsche 928 in is dark gray, that way we can have part of the infamous Top Gear Patagonia Special trio of cars... (as Jezza had talked about in that said episode, had it not been for the 928, he would not have been able to give his last goodbyes to his dying father.)

@@scotthallgv They have done similar models or even different casting of the same car before though. That is why, even though I would prefer a 924s (because I'm partial to it and know it is very underappreciated) I mentioned the 924 gtp because it is a race car and different enough from the 944 (even though it inspired the 944 design) that I think it is more likely for them to want to make it. I think would make a great premium car.

If Hotwheels held something where the average person could submit one car they'd like to see made as a casting I'd not choose the Lambos or Porsches we're all used to but maybe something obscure like a 2002 Daihatsu Laganza or maybe even a Dodge Omni from the 80's (which I think was already released if I'm not mistaken). How about a Chrysler Conquest/Mitsubishi Starion for a blast from the past?? Dodge Stealth/Mitsubishi 3000GT?? 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR4? Nissan 200sx, 1991 Toyota Tercel or even the 1986 Toyota Corolla sr5/coupe.
