The Honker is a real car. It's out of Chambersburg Pa. The engine builder knew my mechanic. The engine builder was from Birdsboro Pa. I'm trying to get an autographed carded car for my collection. Great video. Dragstrip Demons was one of Hot Wheels best series.

I'm a big fan of lettering on the tires, I think it set's off the whole car. When Mattel won't add this detail on their premium stuff I won't buy them.

Too bad the Mopar middle had the tail light tampos were not straight. Last stand in a beautiful purple. They screwed up on n the tail lights. Got the upside down! Backup lights should be to the inside, not outside. You mentioned the altered wheel based cars like the Landys. Not only are the rear wheels moved ahead, but they correctly moved the front wheels ahead as well! Great job. They did a nice job in Slug Bugs rear hood top tilt! Nice colours as well.

@timbunker4061 my last couple of orders were sent out for shipping the same day I purchased it or the day after. Delivery was around 2 days also, so I received my stuff within like 4-5 days. I placed an order for the autostrasse set, that one took around 3-4 days until they shipped because they're getting more orders coming through now, but still great service!!

Vintage racing series was released in 2011 the year after dragstrip demons. The NHRA set was after vintage racing. And no they really shouldn’t add jdm drag cars to the dragstrip demons line. Make something original for those fans. I hate when they carry on and spoil what was once something great.

I wasn’t into collecting at the time when the first release came out but I’m really excited to start collecting these starting off with the new mix that I’m gonna order from Jcar. I think the Mopar Missile was supposed to be Motown Missile... I did a search and it came to that car. I don't think hot wheels got licensing to make the right casting.

I found Ronin Run with chase 2 weeks ago. Made a KZbin short(go check it out) I was shaking lol.. And today just found 2 cases at target of drag strip demons with one chase. So they are hitting stores.

I can tell you this, my older brother purchased a mid to late 1967 Dodge Coronet, 2 door, with the straight 6 engine. He & my late father rebuilt the engine, and transmission, which I got pleasure of holding that transmission in place, while my brother put all the bolts back in place, When this happened, I was already 6'6" and 280 lbs. and really strong! I was bench pressing 350 lbs at that time, so the transmission wasn't that heavy. So I have a sweet spot for the old Dodge Coronets. I am keeping an eye out for them!

A/GS = A Gas, Supercharged. A/G was not supercharged, "blown".

The tail lights on your last stand Duster are backwards. The reverse lights should be towards the middle not the outside. SS stands for Super Street I think.

Great set , saw the Ramcharger when I was a kid, at Motorcity Dragway, Sibley and Dix in Detroit when I was a kid. Ramchargers had a store on Gratiot, not far from Gratiot Auto Supply. Just got the set yesterday.

They used to cut from the wheel wells down, back to the almost the bumper, then swapped sides. That's how they got that shortened wheelbase. Pretty cool...

I remember seeing the original drag strip demons at big lots for2.50-3.00 each. I picked up a couple don prudhomme snakes an altered wheelbase and left the rest of the set ( which was complete).
