Cool video! 👍 In the about section it might be helpful to put a little information about yourself. How long you been lamp working, what got you into lamp working, is it a family business, etc etc. Keep up the good work!

Ok so my question is can you kiln a cracked piece and would it heal the crack?
@FusingShop Жыл бұрын
No. A kiln at 1,050 degrees will not be hot enough to make the glass fuse back together.

You would need a cutting torch

That was pretty cool. I wish I had your setup. Probably still wouldn't be as good as you. But what if I had my favorite glass pipe with a crack in it. Is it possible to reheat it and fix it?
@FusingShop Жыл бұрын
Yes! You can definitely repair cracked pipes. Is it just a crack, or is the glass broken?

Nice little piece :) question...can you use old pop bottles and say blow holes in them? I have a thought...which is probably already did lol. Anyways great videos.
@FusingShop11 ай бұрын
Hello! Thanks for your comment. So you can use old bottles and melt them with the torch and reshape them. I hope to do a demo of this soon. All the best! Sim

What if you condense too far and constrict air flow?? What's the easy fix??
@FusingShop3 жыл бұрын
Hey XO! Unfortunately, there is no easy fix if the sides got fused together. Your best bet is to start over. If the hole is still open you may be able to heat up the section and blow it open. Good luck!

I realize this is a year old but leaving it for others. Simply grab a pair of reverse tweezers. The longer the better. Infuse your restriction with heat but not so much that it continues to close. Reach in the open end and give a couple pushes with the reverse tweezers then use your pencil reamer to clean the shape of the opening.
