@@BELIEVER78989 Forgot in which episode, after WWX is back and he is at Cloud Recesses and he drinks he says something to LZ that in english got translated to "true friend". Other translations said something similar to "love". Apparently the russain sub said it as "soulmate". So, yeah, they never called eachother friends. LZ was the confused and unsure one, WWX was the prankster type, but both are good guys and they loved eachother even if it took them lots of time to understand and accept what was really going on. Plus, they were both teenagers, so it was only natural to feel lost. After WWX's return, when they're both in early 30's, it was simpler to display the love and care, even if WWX was still a bit cluelss. I like how LZ became a confident person and decided to be with WWX forever. He understood the depths of WWX's goodness and selflessness even more after he finds out why his beloved wasn't able to use swords and had to resort to dakr magic. I also liked how LX rooted for them from the start. But the uncle/s was/were really something, i can only imagine their face/s when LZ and WWX got married rofl!

Yo pienso que hay personas que al ver the untamed por primera vez (sin saber de la novela, etc) no se fijan tanto en todos los detalles que hay en los que se puede ver claramente que es mucho mas que bromance, pero estoy segura de que si la ven una segunda vez prestando mas atencion seguro notan todo, me pasó porque la primera vez no noté tantos detallitos como despues 💞 pero claramente es BL! Advance bravely es una serie? no he escuchado de esa, me cuentas como es?

@@SteffOrSomething Completamente de acuerdo contigo. Yo, la primera vez que la vi, ya iba advertido y sabía que ahí había amor. Luego, ya leí algún capítulo de la novela y todo quedaba más claro. Pero no era necesario leer la novela. Yo creo que el magnífico trabajo de los actores lo deja todo evidente, pero también ayuda el trabajo de realización. Ambos factores constituyen el mejor ejemplo de cómo burlar una pacata censura. A los censores les ha salido el tiro por la culata porque nos hemos hecho con una de las historias de amor más bellas del BL mundial Pues todo lo que te digo de THE UNTAMED, valdría para ADVANCE BRAVELY, que también la puedes encontrar con subtítulos en español, buscando BESO DEL DIABLO. También se basa en una novela explícitamente BL que la censura pretendía enmascarar como bromance. Pero totalmente en vano. La química y complicidad de los actores y la realización, nos dejan otra historia de amor increíble. Búscala y prepárate a disfrutar un montón, porque, encima, es divertidísima. Me gusta tanto como THE UNTAMED, y cuidado que es difícil conseguir eso ! De todas formas, la única serie que aún me gusta más, y que, por tanto, es mi favorita , es ADDICTED HEROINE. Gu Hai y Bai Luo Yin, para mí, ya son palabras mayores. Nadie les puede superar. Al final me he lanzado. Perdona si me he puesto pesado, pero no puedo disimular mi entusiasmo. En pleno confinamiento, un abrazo desde España y gracias por tu trabajo.

Me pega que Meng Yao, ( ¡ menudo personaje ! ), antes de liarse con Lan Xi Chen, tiene algo con Nie Ming Jue.... Y ¡ qué decir de Xiao Xing Chen y Song Lan ! Es una pareja super-romántica de las que hacen llorar. Y, el pobre de Xue Yang, creo está coladito por Xing Chen. La verdad que la serie es una verdadera joya del B.L. Toda una obra maestra que hará leyenda, con la pareja más adorable que se pueda imaginar. Sus miradas, sonrisas, atención y complicidad son algo de lo más intenso, sensual y mágico. No entiendo la manía que tiene la gente de minusvalorar las películas cuando no hay escenas explícitas o picantes. ¡ Que vayan a ver porno ! Tanto en THE UNTAMED como en ADVANCE BRAVELY, ( aunque, es cierto que nos encantaría que las hubiera, sin censura ), me parecen prescindibles. Es más, creo que, por burlar la censura, ambas series ganan en sutileza y sensibilidad, gracias al maravilloso trabajo de la dirección y de los actores. ¡ Enormes ! Pero, aún amándoles con locura, mi YUZHOU sigue pareciéndome imbatible. Ja, ja.

I actually think it's nice the series does not have any explicit kissing and sex due to China's censorship, because that way the LOVE (connection of the soul) is emphasized, not the sexual physical stuff. That way a lot of audiences from conservative and Islamic countries like Pakistan or Indonesia came to watch and love the series and become more supportive of LGBT people because they could see the LOVE part, not just the sexual lust part of an homosexual relationship. I heard stories of homophobic mothers changing their minds after watching The Untamed. Also because the sexual aspect was deemphasized, the main characters were so much more multidimensional than in other movies and series. What I hate about Western movies and series with LGBT characters is that the only focus is on their sexuality, as if their sexual orientation is the ONLY or the MAIN aspect of their character. Also, in Western movies LGBT characters are often portrayed as victims. Here we have two strong and beautiful heroes, who are admired and respected by friends and feared by enemies, loved by their siblings. Both are leaders, alpha-male persona. Ironically, China's censorship helped create a BL masterpiece, and its popularity in conservative countries is definitely a good thing for the LGBT communities there.

Lan Zhan likes only one boy, Wei Ying. He probably loved only 3 people in his life, his mom, his brother and Wei Ying. He really agonized over his decision before accepting it. I think the Chinese government censorship really helped this drama by having the fans rely on their imagination rather than blatant, overt acts. Good script writing and excellent acting from all, especially Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo. I can't imagine this drama without them.
