What a masterpiece. To me a masterpiece is a song or lyric that sparks a forgotten emotion. Im 30 yrs old, I met my now wife when I was 20 yrs old. We met abroad and sparks flew, nothing mattered only the 2 of us. I then moved to her country of origin purely out of Love. Today we celebrated our Son turning 7 months old. My point is life IS beautiful, this song for some reason cuts out all the unimportant things in life and reminds me of how much I love my wife and everything we have gone through, its crazy to be triggered this way :) feeling so calm.

Lana's parts are black and white, represents the past. While the parts of those teenagers are in colors, they represents the future, the young generations. Just like how she sings it: you are part of the past but now the future. (paraphrase) And the teenagers sat and watched Lana's performance, as in they are being inspired by the past and the older generation in order to explore the world (going in space and explore). Another thing I see is that this song doesn't only talk about romantic love, it also indicates the love for music and possibly other kind of love. There is a girl floating in space while listening to music and also at the same time Lana sings the "Young and In love" chorus. This song is so fucking good. God saves the Queen Lana.

Sophia P that's a beautiful analysis. I am 30 and this song did remind me of being young and in love. We would get dressed up just to go to Blockbuster (lol) or hang out at a restaurant, everything seemed amazing and important, emotions were all so intense. I felt like it was a breath of fresh air, telling youth to just enjoy being youthful "it's enough" and "don't worry baby" cast your cares aside, be young and free. It is a hard time right now, but don't forget to be young.

I think what really separates this song from all the others is that she's not singing about herself anymore. This isn't a song about Lana's adventures, about how she ran away and partied hard and loved bad men. She's singing to us. Her fans. Us crazy kids with our vintage music. In Born to Die, she was the beautifully tragic party girl. In Ultraviolence, she was the fucked up hippie. In Honeymoon, she was grown-up and quietly, poetically suffering. Now she's the wise, winsome older sister, the slightly world-weary but glamorous rebel in whose impractical shoes we all secretly long to be, who's been where we are and winks when she sees us sneaking out.

The message in this video is about the power of our generation to do amazing, innovative things and make new discoveries as long as we are young at heart and know love. But what is most great about this video is that Lana looks so happy. So far this era, she just exudes such a great amount of happiness and confidence in her work. It's about time. I remember her Ultraviolence era. It was very bittersweet because I loved the music but the interviews she was doing were all very sad. She was suicidal. But to see her now, here, in this video and with the premature leak of this song. She isn't sad about it. She's totally accepting of it and she looks like she's in such a good place. That's all I truly want is for Lana to be happy. If she's happy, it will shine through in her music. She'll keep doing it as long as she loves it. Love you, Elizabeth. So much.

My ex-girlfriend... well, my only girlfriend... really loved Lana Del Rey. I'm sure she still does today... This song and music video are phenomenal. It makes me think of her and I when times were so euphoric. When we were young and in love. It was enough. When Lana smiles, I see a reflection of my lost lover. I might sound mushy, but I really love her. She is unlike any other girl I have ever met. I am thankful to have spent many great times with her. And although she has been gone for over a year, the loneliness of my soul has not tired.

Lana incorporates stereotypes of the past, present and future to create a perfect image of the undefined, polarized and perfectly imperfect identity of American youth. Individually we are all different. No word can characterise us. But as a whole, we are just 'young' and in 'love'. And in times of isolation and segregation, we need to remember this. Divided we fall... but united we stand.
