To make classic spaghetti aglio e olio, simply… Cook the spaghetti. Cook the spaghetti in a generously-salted pot of boiling water until it is just one minute shy of being al dente. Sauté the garlic. Meanwhile, about 3 minutes after you add the pasta to the boiling water, heat the olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes and sauté for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the garlic is lightly golden. Toss the pasta in the sauce. Once the pasta is ready to go, use tongs to transfer the pasta immediately to the sauté pan, along with 1/2 cup of the hot starchy pasta water. Toss the pasta continuously until it is evenly coated in the garlic sauce. If the sauce looks a bit too dry, add in another 1/4 cup of the starchy pasta water. Taste and season. Give the pasta a quick taste add an extra pinch of salt and/or crushed red pepper flakes if needed. Serve. Serve immediately while it’s nice and hot, garnished with any toppings that sound good.

I think this trailer perfectly exemplifies lance. That monster just couldn't do anything to the lancer. Just nothing. As the lancer beat down its face.

(at 0: 46) normally with counter thrust the shield would be raised all the time but it only blocks at the las moment. But that is the charge up you would normally see on charged counter thrust. So they might have combined counter thrust with insta block. (basically a chargable multi hit thrust that can parry an icmomming attack mid charge)!!!!!!!! a lot of people ssem to mis this

They really made sure that Lance gets all of the counters this time. That's great for the identity of the weapon. Unfortunately, I don't think Lance's popularity is going to increase in this game- which is already pretty bad considering that Lance has been last in popularity in both World and Rise.

A noble and elegant weapon for civilised hunters. As a new player in World, I quickly “adopted” the Lance because it did feel like dancing with the monster but you literally trade leads. For me, it was less busy work and more opportunities to be aware of my surroundings and the monster’s strengths. I’m all in for Bow but Lance is way up there as well. Switch Axe may be my go-to if I want my all-melee and “no defense” but we’ll wait and see. It’ll be my first MH game at launch.

WHAT IF (and just hear me out) All the weapons that can block get the monster clashes, holding a monster in place while your buddies attack it and ending the clash with a nice chunk of damage yourself. All the weapons that *cant* block get the mount attacks, attacks that deal moderate damage and flinch or topple the monster. Just spit ballin.

On my new play through of MHW i ended up accidently maining the lance (road to HR99) and the uppercut alone seems to be an amazing addition if we're able to use it for quick turns and hopefully we get slightly higher modifiers. definitely will main it in Wilds and maybe ill end up going back to GS/SnS haha
