I find heelflips like 5x easier than kickflips, is that weird? a lot of people say its much harder
@jessecook53339 жыл бұрын
+XxSoreThumbGamesxX I think it's just the kick of the heelflip that people can't get their head around so they just give up with it and go onto kickflips... but for actually landing a flip i reckon heelflips would be easier, it takes more time to work out how to flick it properly but the time to actually land it is usually cut in half which makes up for the time needing to learn the flick as opposed to a kickflip if that makes any sense? so i definitely think people need to revise what they say about heelflips and acknowledge that they just skipped a whole step haha instead of calling it hard

sidyT9 Aaron also says heelflips aren't his strongest thing, weaker than his kickflips despite learning them earlier. Does it even matter? Not every trick comes naturally to every skater, why be a douche about it?
@sidyT910 жыл бұрын
terrabun I don`t want to be a douche about it but Heelflips, Kickflips and Shuv its are the foundation to like ten billion other tricks so it might make Aaron an even better skater than he already is. Besides that, it`s better to have the tricks really down yourself before you try to teach other people how to do them.

Gotta Hand It to Lance, that Heel Flip was Clean. I think Lance although inexperienced, has potential to be great at skating. Still though he has been skating on and off for many years, so the reason he picks up so fast is because with age comes wisdom he just needed a little guidance. What most people may not realize is that a person who is newer to skateboarding won't pick up these tricks as fast as Lance so don't be discouraged if you can't learn these tricks as fast as he has. Just thought it was an eye opener that needed to be stated. Hope you all become great skaters and thanks for these videos Aaron.

@Daniel-oz5dm10 жыл бұрын
Just do them reaallyy slow and build up, also dont always try to go big, just a comfortable height. Ive started skating again and have really low and slow ollies and fakie ollies, so yeh just start small and build up.
@terrabun10 жыл бұрын
Not trying to be rude at all, but that probably means your learning technique needs improving because it sounds like you were not correcting what was wrong. Try to break down what you are doing, same as Aaron does, examine your stance/posture/foot position (filming it helps) and try changing something if it;s not working. If you do change something, change one thing at a time.
@terrabun10 жыл бұрын
What I found really helped for rolling ollies was to first ride along and just do little jumps on the board to get used to unweighting and being in the air and off the board... then gradually pop a bit harder and suddenly you're doing rolling ollies.

it took me i think 3 months! i was on and off but i think one day i spent a whole 2 HOURS! and i never got it but i learned it all by myself! :) the only advice i had from my brother was pop and slide the front foot up and take your back foot off. That is a really big step and just keep doing that about a 1000 TIMES! and you should learn the mechanics of it pretty well :) i believe in you :)
