This is the video that convinced me to get a skateboard 8 years ago. Best decision I’ve ever made!! I don’t have time to skate as much as I’d like, and I’m always the old guy at the park taking an hour to get my kickflips back, but the pure love of skating makes all that not matter. I know Lance isn’t with Braille anymore, but can any of you PLEASE tell him he inspired at least 1 dude in Michigan to pick up a board and not be afraid to fail until he gets the job done, in skateboarding and in life.

Aaron, I've just started skateboarding again (i'm 27 now), I used to do it for a couple of years between 12-14 until my deck chipped to death and I didn't have money ;(( Your video's are really really helping me a lot to get back on track. I used to be able to jump over 2 decks stacked primo, and now I haven't landed a single moving ollie yet :( BUT I was surrounded with a couple kids who were semi-pro, and it took 2 years, but I'm learning so much more thanks to you and the power of the internet, I feel like I'm progressing a lot every day, so thanks. They basically said they are posers who just like to carry the board around and ride it for the 3 seconds they can before they hit a curb they can't get over. They also said they dont want to fall trying to do the tricks or take the time to learn to do them.

CrimsonSkyz get a helmet and some pads...you will be super confident, you will fall but you wont feel anything, then drop the pads once you are comfortable.

CrimsonSkyz go all out with protection... wrist-guard, padded shirt/shorts, knee pads, elbow pads, mouth-guard, shin-guard socks and helmet...the first time you fall you will not get hurt at all, so you will be super aggressive after that, you will commit and not be scared. and after a few weeks drop the pads if you want.

just give some attention to where your hips and upper body are at, you want everything to stay pretty much parallel to the board. if you're turning it's just because you've tweaked your hips while jumping. easy to straighten up when you focus on it.
