@Bxbomber19453 probably because it's more complicated. The way the engine is designed makes it so the head doesn't get oil when it's mounted parallel so you need an oil pump for the top like the genesis has. (Genesis has an engine based off the 4b11t) then there's the custom flywheel and mounting plate/bell housing you have to make.

This series has inspired the mutilation of my old getz 😉 I've gone a v6 route with the engine (for fitment reasons), but I've acquired myself an mx5 rear end and just about everything else I should need to get it done on my next staycation 👌 keep up the sick progress Mike 👊

I could watch another 7 weeks worth of fabrication an tidying up the rails an metal work underneath an how the conversion an new metal is adapted. More OEM looking an stronger the better cos like U said it's gonna get a hiding. Don't rush it man these are the crucial bits an I think it's good conent

What a weapon! Really enjoying this series. With the MX5 diff mounting, it has a huge length of alloy brace bar which connects to the gearbox tieing the entire drive train together, thats why it flops around. Love your solution for the fix though. Cant wait to see this beast sideways.

Wouldn’t an LSD be a better all-rounder configuration than a welded diff if you’re planning to do track days as well as drifting?

I’m looking into options for an lsd at the moment yep! But that’s likely go in, in a few months as I need to budget for all of this stuff 😅😜

Mike my friend, I have a suggestion. The open area next to the fog lights on the bumper, I suggest maybe some ducting for the front brakes to help with some cooling on future track days 👀 Update: The O2 sensor worked by the way, thanks man 👍🏻
