The Lancia Delta S4/Integrale the best rally car ever made. First rally car to win 6 championships in a row. Only the slow evo's have got 6 in a row as well. But as i said to a buddy, i would take the Delta any day of the week, u can have ur evo. Plus the S4 was the last of the group b monsters and after the end of group b mid way through 86. The Integrale a tuned down version of the Delta S4 came along and the rest is history. Plus one of these cars today can cost as much as 30,000+ euros.

Here in Italy, where i come from, you can find really cheap 8 and 16 valves Deltas, but for the Evos you gotta have some money... BUT, you can make a replica with the Evo II pieces.

absolutely loved my integrale, really miss all the attention it got, it was like going out with a filmstar everytime you went for a drive. in all fairness though it doesnt wipe the floor with todays cars, the pulsar GtiR i had would have killed it. but the lancia had pace & grace & IS the most successful Rally car ever made.

I think you might be getting confused with the S4's pre-Gp.B predecessor, the Lancia 037 Rallye - 2WD, supercharged. The S4 WAS 4WD - it was Lancia's Gp.B answer to the groundbreaking 4WD Audi Quattro, and the predecessor to the legendary Integrales. It was both turbocharged AND supercharged, mid-rear engined! I love it's form-follows-function bad-assness, plus it's mental acceleration...

I owened one from 1995 until 2002..my best driving years... every time I got in the car... i felt like Oriol ready to shoot the championship...that car gave me amazing feelings...it had spirit and character...yet full of technical problems...but it was part of its personality I guess...today I drive a subaru sti...nice car...but its not my Italian crazy naughty Deltona...

vederla sfrecciare a pochi metri da te era bellissimo emozioni bellissime. putroppo la mitica delta diventa sempre piu rara la si vede solo nel relly storico e raramente in relly guidata da figli di ppa incapaci putroppo le auto di quei tempi so state abolite dai relly wrc per la troppa potenza del motore, che comportava un gran pericolo di guida in pochi avevano la stoffa per tenere la belva de relly
