I am the Way the Truth and the Life. John XIV 6 (John 14: 6). Greg Thomas found his Way, his Truth and his Life while doing what Our Lord asked him to do. He didn’t question it or run from it, he embraced His mission that the Lord put before him. Rest In Peace Mr Greg Thomas and May Perpetual Light Shine Upon You. Amen. You have been called Home to Your Eternal Rest after You fulfilled what Our Heavenly Lord asked of You. From a Grateful Catholic in Colorado ❤❤❤

Don't worry God's got your back man you're his child and he loves you even though you're in remission which we got to give God all the praise for one day that God is coming to get you and bring you home to be with him like he did with my father my mother my brothers and my sister and all 12 of my aunts and uncles and numerous best friends I am terminally ill now and we'll go join them soon that while I'm here I love to watch God work through people like this my prayers are with this man and God has simply told him it wasn't his time yet because he has a lot more to give and this man gives it with love that's a man after God's Own Heart

It really irks me the way he was treated by the Catholic Church. All the work he did on that church, done out of shear love. So many people were so taken by what he was doing, it warmed all our hearts. And then they tell him he is no longer welcome in the church without an escort. I was horrified by that. But I think there is more to this story just because of how cruel it sounds. I would like to know the whole story here!!! RIP Dear Sweet Greg, I will always think of you whenever I pass that special old church.

@@TheKoza94 yes, he died in 2016. And yes, he was treated badly by the RC Church, owners of the restored building, the same church that had sat in ruins and total neglect for 50+ years until he rehabilitated it at his own expense and the interior with the help of some eventual donations. And people wonder why the Catholic religion keeps the bad reputation, as if child molesting, nun abusing priests wasn’t more than enough. This is just one more way the church stands on the necks of believers.

Every cancer patient needs an old dog friend. When I came home from chemo and would crash in my chair, that snoopy got years of ear rubs from. He either got more rubs or I could simply say, no not today snoopy and he would go lay on his rug by the door. Was like he could read my mind by the tone of my voice.

Nothing beats the healing power of God. Maybe not the body, but sometimes the heart and soul are more important! I can understand the outrage of some of you over all the work he did and then not be allowed inside. I’m not Catholic and I don’t pretend to understand their views but sometimes we don’t need to be inside a building to find rest for our souls. He stated that a lot of tears were shed on the cement pews. I imagine there was a lot of talking going on between him and God while he was up on that ladder as well. It doesn’t matter where you are. It only matters what’s in your heart. I’m sure he shared all of it with God. The Lord has big shoulders and can take anything we put on them. He does say “come to me all ye who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28 another translation uses weary and carry heavy burdens. We can be anywhere to give him our burdens. It doesn’t have to be in a church and I’m grateful for that. God hears us and sees us wherever we are.

Greg didn't leave the church, and nor did he forsake his faith. It's because he believed that God listens to the prayers of his faithful that made such a pact with God. It reminds of Jacob at Peniel. I would request you to pray for the Catholic Church and not demean it.
