All the world's singing competition platforms always had Filipino singer. From northern hemisphere to global south, one could find Filipinos sudden entrance. Their beauty is midrange, but the Philippines won most of the international beauty pageants over other countries.

Hi! Are you familiar with the type of music that evolved in the Philippines called “Kundiman”? I think it started in the early 1900’s and lasted for about half a century. These songs are mostly romantic and somewhat operatic in style. Some say it was the golden era of music for this country. You can check singer Lara Maigue singing Bituing Marikit and also singer Mitzi Balatbat singing Ang Maya. It’s a different genre but it shows you another side of the musical talent of Filipinos including the composers who wrote all these Kundiman songs. Enjoy listening!
