Well that’s because that’s not the type of video that a ton of people are going to watch it’s only helpful for a small few that need it I don’t worry too much about it in most situations people realize what you did wrong instead of what you did right. Great vid. In the middle of diagnosing same system. Basically both high pressure and low pressure sides are equalized w/ car running and compressor on as if compressor is not doing its job. My question is how did you determine ac compressor was the culprit? To my understanding this is a clutchless compressor. Thanks!

Was the AC comp seized? Mine is difficult to turn over.

If it’s difficult to turn they are supposed to be difficult to turn they kind of work like Engines if you can turn it a little bit then it frees up then turn it a little bit and it gets difficult that’s because it has pistons inside it that move up and down. If it’s got over 150,000 miles on it it’s probably time for a new compressor

Great video. I am in the market for an LR3 but the one I've found has a bad AC. I'm not sure I should buy it given what the guy is asking and how much of a headache the fix is.

Well I’m about to buy another LR3 for $1300 that runs and drives and needs a new front differential and shocks it’s in really good condition but just a base model. It has three row seating mine does not so I’m thinking about buying it for that reason mostly and so I can have an extra engine and transmission if I ever need it

Great video! Getting read to install new A/C compressor for LR3 V8 4.4L (2006). Does the A/C condenser have to be replaced too? Or are we good to go with just replacing the A/C Compressor? Thanks for any info you can share. God bless!

Well on older models you definitely should get a condenser comb and clean out the condenser at the very least. You’re supposed to also change the dryer as well. It certainly would not hurt to replace the condenser if you have the dollars and the patience to do it.

I took the power steering off because I was taking the Engine out. I thought I mentioned that in the video sorry

you only need to remove PS pump from bracket... just bolts... no hoses. Once removed from bracket you can shift/move power steering pump to get to bolts. easy? no.

It’s not easy to get them bolts even if the power steering pump is removed but I could’ve swore that I made a video showing people how to do that…. Maybe I’m mistaken though
