If you want to go off-roading and you make $60k a year, get a pre-owned Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. If you want to go off-roading and you make $120k a year, get a Ford Bronco Sasquatch package. If you want to go off-roading and you have people working for you who make $60k and $120k a year, get a LR Defender.

I’m hearing many problems here in America with the 90 Defender. intermittent A/C shut off, rattles, because of factory problems with rear panel assembly, plus interior problems with trim.

there are a couple of small issues that were present on the first years cars thus far. The B-pillar makes a rustling sound which is easily fixed at dealership with a felt strip not really a big deal to me but seems to bother some people. The other main issue is the windshield getting a large crack in it sometimes with no rock strike. Honestly the car has had a better launch in terms of quality than the Ford Bronco (roof and transmission issues). Mine has been reliable and a great utility vehicle and has towed cross country 7k lbs (Seattle to Atlanta) in the snow and I've off-roaded it a number of times as well so not just an easy pavement life. I have an LR3 too and both have been some of my favorite vehicles I've owned out of about 20 or so cars. Not affiliated or anything w/ LR just like to make sure facts are out there instead of hearsay because it really is a very impressive vehicle.

@@Douganchesner which defender do you have, 2 or 4 door? is the 2 door the better car ? in the city of course. but off-roading also or ? i have no experience so i am asking you. only when you have a family the 4 door is over the 2. but when you don’t need the extra length…….

Great review Byron. If someone wants more boot space and easier access to Row 2, buy the LWB 110 model. There will be some 2021MY Defender 90 come to Australia with the D300 motor. 220 kw / 650 nm The 2022MY vehicles won’t offer the D300 motor. The bottom part of rear seat can be easily removed, which then allows the top part of rear seat to fold flat. Besides great off road ability, you get tech, safety, comfort, and a great daily driver. If you want more off road ability, option and accessorise and modify the vehicle to suit your specific requirements. Well done LR. 👍

what are you basing your reliability statistics on? So far any issues with the car have been small things to do mostly with Pivi pro glitches (haven't had many issues and the issues I did have were sorted with an over the air update). Honestly the BIGGEST issue this car has is a very weak and damage prone windshield. I expect LR to improve the windshield issue because that has been very widespread. There are lots of Rumor and TFL has spread paranoia to internet trolls but honestly all things considered its been a mostly smooth rollout for a complex European car.
