I love the fact you look at all the bits I would too. I thought the comment about the designer adding a nice expensive piece of trim to hide the fact the load bay is not flat with the seats down was awesome. Finding all that electronics underneath where it will get covered in muck and water is worrying. A brilliant review.

This is no doubt the best KZbin review of the model 90 with good sense of humor. You just point so much important things for overlanders which not make this car well appearing. I have drove one here in Scotland as well his bigger brother and can say- it is a nice car nice looking outside and inside but it is just mall crawler not overland vehicle. But I need to be fair - what car today is a overland vehicle apart wrangler and Toyota Prado and maybe if you can get bronco.

Such a great review from a prospective vehicle owner's view. 19:25 I think the brackets on the underside inside the wheel is for mud and rocks to keep them from building up inside the wheel/rim area. That is very unusual and will most likely scrape the inside wheel weights off of the wheel/rim.

Another great review. Anyone thinking of buying one of these needs to know as much as possible. Brilliant modern style let down by some cost cutting and carelessness. It needs to be under sealed before it leaves the showroom. The Grenadier from Ineos will be an interesting rival, it is more of a workhorse but it doesn’t have the style.

Perfectly expressed, as an English guy I'd say exactly the same about this. I think complaining about the lack of boot space in a 90, and comparing it to a discovery is a bit weird. If you want to lay down in the back, get a 110 :) I think the one you tested there was the absolute most basic model you can currently get. The air suspension makes the ride a lot better, and helps with towing too. I've had a new 110 for almost a year now and it's easily the best LR I've owned. Much better than the Disco 4 HSE I previously had, both on road and off road. Also the surround cameras remove any blind spots if you don't remember you're parked next to another car 🤣

Hello Christian and Vera, I’m new to your channel and have to say I really enjoy your content, I’m not a Toyota owner so I completely understand your humour, love it. I started watching because I’m considering buying a 2008 LR3 SE as you call them over there. So happy I came across your channel as I’ve learned so much I can go into my prospective purchase without looking like a Toyota fanboy. On another note that funny looking bracket on the wheel you were wondering about, I would propose that it is a mud rake to prevent large heavy clumps of mud from being carried up into the upper suspension. Anyway looking forward to seeing more of you guys, cheers from Down Under

Lolll I love you guys! A disco 3 is just a little more spacious... My dog can't fit in the back of the new 110, the 90 seats not folding down is simply stupid! I love the D3, and Vera, yes, a d4 is a step up. We have a discovery sport, my 11 year old daughter decided to drive it into and all the way down the side of my disco 3, why, because she can, but the park assistant made no sound, she then removed alk the paint off the sport and leave a small dent on the D3. Anyway, we are thinking of a D4 for the wife now so she can tow 3 horses in a trailer, and fill the back with luggage... Something that the new defender just does not have... The space... I kind of feel like they almost telling us to buy a Ford pickup...

I think the rear seats do fold completely flat. First, you removed the base cushion and stow it behind the front seats. The seats will then fold flat. Nice to see that Land-rover still like to show at least one warning light on all the time. But I didn’t realise this happens even on brand new vehicles! I feel so much better now knowing this fact! Another great video from you Guy’s.

This is an acceptable solution and thank you for sharing. It makes the biggest downside of this car go away. 👍 I think we best put this link in the video description. Christian
@Vera_and_Christian3 жыл бұрын
@@Rickwardful I know that video, but that is not really a solution for me. Not for 60000€. Knowing Land Rover cars well enough, I wonder how many times you can do that without breaking a clip or a mount and then be bothered with a ratteling noise. Also the incline is not the biggest problem for me. The raised aluminum bar is. 🙋♀️ Vera
@Rickwardful3 жыл бұрын
@@Vera_and_Christian I agree. On the Range-Rover Sport up to 2013, The LR solution was to fold the seat base forward so that the back of it sat vertically behind the front seats, then fold the rear set uprights down so that they we level with the rear deck. This worked very well. I wonder why they didn’t use this system in the new Defenders? However, it still makes me laugh to think that even new LR’s have at least one warning light on all the time! Though strangely enough, my 2005 Discovery 3 with 160,000 mile has no warning lights on at the moment. I wonder if this is because the warning light bulbs have blown! Keep up with the good work you two.
