How's the project going? You welded up that rusted spot yet? It's like youtube knows I orderd a new bearing kit for mine. This was a video it thought I would like. Thanks I know I won't have any issues but I'm sticking new disks and pads in well I'm there so will have to do the other side not long done the front breaks but ended up getting some discount on brembos all round so had to get them. Your engine layout is abit diffrent than my td5. And although mines just as dirty my engine bay and underneath looks then times cleaner. I even have those shocks front and rear but stuck with the bags on rear and uprated springs, so still stock height

Hey great video, thanks a lot! You mentioned the torque nm at the end but did you use a torque wrench at all? I have an impact driver (Ryobi), but its not a torque wrench. Subbed!

Yes, very good video. Quick question. Looks like you have oversize tyres on the car. What size are they and what did you notice in terms of (loss of) acceleration etc of the car due to these bigger tyres. Your comments would be very useful. Thanks.
@tabb88723 жыл бұрын
The tyres are 285 75 16 bf Goodrich kmo2 on 16” x 10j -35 off-set modular wheels, these are the equivalent to 33” tyres it does struggle a bit in first gear when towing but still not too bad 👌🏻

Do you have any videos on doing the CV joint? Mine has started making a popping sound when I turn but only under throttle not rolling. I found one of the boots broken and I do a lot of deep mudding and pretty hardcore desert stuff over here. I'm looking for a good straightforward video on that but a lot of them have way too much talking and too much confusion like they were trying to figure it out on video not really knowing ahead of time exactly what they do

Very clear and helpful video, thanks shearing. Which shocks absorbers you use in the front ? What is your general opinion on the Disco 2 td5 ? Which year model is it ?

Glad to help mate the suspension is +2” terrafirma heavy duty shocks and springs, I have quite a soft spot for the TD5 they do break but it’s never left me stranded it’s always got me home and mine was a 54 plate (2005) it had done over 160k miles

Hey mate, Great video and referenced to it a few times over the last couple of days doing same job on mine. I noticed u have an aftermarket washer bottle on the bulk head. I have just purchased the same kind. Did you just bolt it in place, connect up the windscreen washers and not bother with the rear window and headlight washers? Connect up the red connector from the existing washer onto this new after market one?

Hi mate, when u was threading the abs wire through the inner wing at the top, I noticed that the inner wings outer edges are totally rotten, mine are too but maybe not as bad as yours, I just wondered is that a major problem ? or an easy fix, if so, how?. and is it a mot failure ?. do u intend to fix/weld yours or leave it as is. interesting to know, thanks a lot, dave
@tabb88722 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply a year later lol I no longer have this Land Rover but on my current one I do have the same issue with the inner arches rotten depends on MOT tester to be fair if it’s not within 30 cm of a chassis mount point you should be okay but I will be repairing my inner arches at some point over the next six months I do plan on making a video on it
