Thanks Wayne! I love that you're passing on knowledge. You've inspired me to pick up the rod again and explore!

Mate, Nudgee was my close to home fishing spot in the 80s, I lived in Hamilton. Jeez it's changed heaps. No jetty, no front. I would park and walk down through the mangroves with my gear and cast net. Caught many a breambo, whiting and the occasional flattie. Also the odd stone fish I might add. Used to be just me mostly and sometimes Greyhound trainers running their dogs. We all got fucked off when some business was allowed to bring a Hydrofoil up the river to the airport, twice a day if I remember rightly. Totally undeveloped, at dusk you had to be aware as the rats would shoot out of the rock wall and pinch ya bait or freshly caught fish and dart back into the rocks with it.I live in the Far North New Zealand nowadays, but this was very nostalgic for me - thanks mate.

Thanks for the video. Good tips. Saw someone caught a nice size eel the other few weeks back at the jetty. Full of mosquito at night, so well prepare.

Great video, wet a line today, out at Nudgee, my first time flicking lures and my first fish in about twenty years, really enjoyed that spot, there were salmon jumping out everywhere and I managed to score a really nice bream on my third throw. Feeling I got when that fish smashed the lure, literally twenty feet in front of me, instant excitement.

Would it be optimal to go early or late around Nudgee beach? I notice the highest tide is often around midday to early Arvo.

YellowTissueBox I prefer mid week at first light.

Is the outgoing tides good for flattys on plastics?

Jaksin Easin it’s not a hard fast rule but I prefer the run out for both.

What kind of sharks would you catch in Kedron Brook? Perhaps I shouldn't let my dog swim there.
