Good idea for the channel you made. Banana is a good belt too.

Thanks man. Yeh,I love the Spud belt. Don't do these with the landmine as much since I got the rackable belt squat platforms (made by black widow). Thanks for watching!

man what do you do for calves and forearms if you dont mind me asking? nice channel
@ThreeStormFitness2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! For calves, a lot of it is genetics for me (no one ever likes to hear that), however, I think both calves and forearms grow well from constant use. My forearms exploded when I started working at a commercial paint store, carrying hundreds of five gallon buckets everywhere. I also think an unsung calf exercises along those lines is walking uphill under load to give constant tension to both the gastrocnemius and the soleus. Crank a treadmill up to the max gradient, put on a weighted pack and go for a walk for 10-15 minutes. Pretty sure your calves will do something Doggcrapp calf raises are killer too. Do a calf raise on a block with max contraction, hold for a couple seconds, then eccentric phase for 5-10 seconds, then hold at the bottom of the movement at maximum stretch for 15 second. That's 1 rep. Keep adding weight until 15 makes you puke Hope that helps!

Hey Bro, i have Knee problem, when i do landmine belt Squat i don't feel pain on my knee's, why this happen?
@glennhankins6927 Жыл бұрын
Because landmine squats shift all the strain onto your quads, glutes, and hamstrings whereas a conventional squat stresses your knees to some extent in order to stabilize the weight on your back.

I've been struggling with these. My dip belt digs into the front of my hips, and my form struggles, as the squat motion feels unnatural due to the arc of the barbell as I move up and down; the lumbar area seems to get a lot of stress, even though my belt is resting lower on my pelvis, not my lower back.

Yeh, I understand--they can be a bit awkward for all the reasons you mentioned. Since I shot this video, I've since purchased a Spud Squat Belt, which eliminates the "dig" you spoke of (which is the main reason I bought it). These might not be for you--if you have a good belt though--like the Spud--you can do belt squats up on platforms (boxes or power rack platforms...I have Black Widow platforms) and perform a similar exercise that loads the weight directly below you. In short, it might just be the belt. Thanks for watching!

I know this is a year old but I've been doing these for years. What I did was got those forearm forklift things that movers use. You can get them at Home depot etc. for about $15. They are a long nylon strap with 3 different loops (3 per end). I put a big carabiner in the top loops. Then I just put the strap on the back of my shoulders and slip the carabiner over the weighted end of the bar. The top loops hold the weight high enough that I can go below parallel before the weights touch the floor. The strap around my shoulders feels more natural and still doesn't load my spine. Works great. Also, I don't use a landmine attachment, I cut a tennis ball in half and put one of the halves on the empty end of the bar and set it in a corner. Works great. Might give the straps a try if you are still trying to find a way to do these without having a belt put pressure on your back and hips.

Great video! I could never workout in bare feet though. If you drop a 25lb. plate on your foot, that would suck.💥🕳🦶.

A 2.5 lbs plate would do enough damage on its own. 25 lbs would put the hammer in my hammer toes. Right now, it's an accepted risk...ask me again though when I'm recovering from surgery ;)
