Minnesota is so very lucky to have a place like the Minnesota state fair, there are other States that do not have anything that even comes close to the Fair Grounds. What a Cool place.

My dad raced a 56 Ford there in 1956 and sat in the grandstand and watch, later in the 60's I was racing there in my dad's car. I wish they would bring back races there, I probably wuold go back to the fair.

You forgot the Snowmobile racing in the late 70s. On ICE on the circle track.

The museum as you see it in this 2009 video, is gone. The artifact were displayed in an old railcar, maintained by Gale Frost. For a variety of reasons the Fair had to move into a modern approach to exhibiting it's history, now in the History and Heritage Center at the West End. Opened in 2014. Open during Fair Time only and special events. (Near the Blue Barn)
