If you can't afford a 3500 vision pro, you're an android user. Not someone apple cares about. The first 3500 is the least of their worries. It will cost much more. And you'll all own one lol. Apple iPhone was extremely expensive compared to the 100 dollar phones you could buy when it released. Everyone laughed at the price, and then, everyone adopted it. Apple won. You just don't know if yet.

To you maybe, apple and Facebook are just two big companies, Apple though is so much larger than Facebook. The Oculus is a mishmash of a bunch of things whereas Apple had so much more control over the Vision Pro. I own, zero apple products but when you Invest, your job is to dispassionately learn and make decisions. Apple just spared no expense, but they built the perfect VR product. There's no real way meta can compete with this. It requires resources meta doesn't have. Apple has 4x the resources. Oculus is more gaming centric. Apple wants this to be the future of computing, and now that I more fully understand the tech, I could whine and ask for it to be cheaper, but the features they implemented were things I specifically asked for to fix VR issues and then, they went ultra far beyond it. The screen and the dynamic resolution being the main thing. Both were gonna be expensive. Oculus just doesn't do that. And if you can't do that then you can't go to the next step of features that it enables. Eye tracking the way apple has done it. It changes a ton. This was the correct move. Oculus was too compromised. This is the baseline for mass adoption VR performance. Now, either drive down price, or, go a little more crazy. Everything seems crazy at first. Welcome to apple, the 10 trillion dollar nation-state company.
