Vox has its own thing. Not comparable

Every thing is comparable no matter what the item, but I get what ya saying

You live in Canada. It’s not hot up there, it’s actually all snowy. I know because I saw that on a tv show once….

I've been through Canada in the summer and it does get hot up there! 😂

I’m in Canada right now (granted it’s Victoria, BC), but it is definitely NOT hot. Kinda wish it was more like where Landon is.😂

Congratulations on the new amp. Great video! I had The Jack for a couple of years. It sounded great. But was too loud for home use.

Sounds good - the Tele clean is great! I bought the Victory V4 Copper Pedal which serves pretty well as a Voxy pre-amp. I'd be a bit wary of the all metal amp boxes - to me they look like an electric shock waiting to happen - but I am considering grabbing one of the more classic looking heads at some point. Great overview vid this one, thanks!

I know what you mean about not always liking the Vox. I've got an ac10 and it seems like every day it sounds different. The components have to be affected by the humidity or something because it tends to sound best on rainy days.

A-hah! Go figure, makes it an even more English Amp.

Lando, this is the one I would buy if I were in the market. I love the Vox sound.

Wow, did you know you were clipping on most of the audio when you were playing your guitar... Too bad, would have been a good demo, Cheers.

that sucks! I make an effort to avoid that but sometimes things happen

I like the sound of Victory's Marshall style amps more than their Vox style amps. And I'm a fan of the Vox sound.

Hey Landon hope all is well! Just wondering since you live in Canada have you ever reviewed a Godin guitar? I am a bass player myself I’ve owned a Godin bass for a couple of years and I love it.

I have a strat with noiseless single coils from 2003. They are not single coils, but they sound good, and I can get a strat sound with them! That said, I can’t shake the desire to replace them with some nice single coils

It's a good amp Landon, but very expensive here in the UK.

Dude! Me too! I take the parts and make tone bleeds. Go vintage! The vintage capacitors are what shape my tone.
@snapfinger16 ай бұрын
It does not outshine a Mark Sampson Matchless or HW Vox AC-30.
@adamp87656 ай бұрын
It's a hell of a lot easier to carry though. And cheaper.

My Vox was made in Vietnam, and I felt kind-of lied to, believing the tube-amps were British. It’s a decent little amp, but I should have paid 1/2 what I payed for it, after learning they’re made by slave-labor in Asia.
@agusg.t.89506 ай бұрын
If your hw vox would be made in UK it will cost the triple you paid man. Enjoy your amp is a real vox

Not to burst any bubbles, but Marshall's are also now built in Viet Nam, as well... and have been for several years...

Landon, for the price... I'd go EVH 5150 III EL34 50watt (has headphones out) and 3 channels. Although channel 1 and 2 share the same EQ it's still WAAAY more worth it.

If it's actually made in England, does it have an accent? You know, like Dick VanDyke in Mary Poppins.
@biggreensofar6 ай бұрын
No Englishman has ever had an accent like Dick VanDyke in Mary Poppins. 🙂
@KennethWessel-cu4ie6 ай бұрын
It’s fine, but still like the Vox. With too much gain, it sounds a bit generic.
