I had to do a roadside repair on it at the weekend. luckily broke down outside Aldi. I bought a small socket set ( mine was too big) to remove the cover, a pair of heavy duty rubber gloves, bathroom silicone,duct tape and I already had the string

What is the model of your vehicle? I see below that you said it is a 2.5 L. I am in America and own a 2004 Discovery 2 SE7 with a 4.7 L V-8. I got my truck 13 months ago, and it started showing that it had a water and an oil leak. Barely leaks either fluids, but still drives me nuts that it's leaking, because I guess these things are famous for it. I bought it with 98,000 miles, so that's low, so it surprises me that it's having a problem at all. But like I said, I guess they are known for this leaking problem with both fluids.

+David Bruce Hey, you're right if a Discovery isn't leaking it isn't healthy. Mine is a Discovery 2 2.5l TD5. Diesels only came in 2.5l on the discovery. You lot love Petrol so it's no surprise you have the V8 haha.
