How come you haven't got any location cards on the board ? They give you several places to visit when you go to a town, including a market.

Galzyr is a fantastic, immersive experience! It can make you feel bad, too, depending on your decisions. I decided to help this little girl win her boat race by sabotaging the other kids’ boats. She caught me and made me feel AWFUL for it. That’s the mark of great writing (and how much of a sap I am).

Totally agreed but we didn’t want to spoil too much! These narrative games are always a tough balance and we at least hope we have viewers a feel for all this one has to offer.

Thanks for sharing. Just started playing and find it to be a lot of fun. I THINK you're supposed to put the location cards on the map during set up. I THINK - they are retrieved in step 3 of setup and placed in step 5.

Correct and we left them out intentionally but regret that decision.

@@AntLabGames No Problem. The rulebook could be a bit more clear about a lot of things, placing the location cards at initial setup being one of them. It would have helped me a lot if they had referenced the card type (location, quest, etc.) in addition to the card number when they mentioned a card or cards. That aside, LofG is a very impressive game. Simply put, it's fun. A lot of fun. I plan on playing it with my granddaughters and being the narrator for them. I think they'll have a lot of fun too.

What a fun game! Thanks for the playthrough. What would you say the replay ability is on this game?

The amount of written content is astonishing. Storybook has more words than whole Lord of the Rings trilogy combined. Obviously, you may not see all of it, as it's split between almost 400 branching little stories. Depending on the player count you will get through all unique content sooner or later, but there is enough to fill 12-24 sessions, roughly 2h each. But even if you start getting quests or events you've seen before, they may end up in other player's hands or can be approached differently.

I think the two hot air balloon cards are a little different: one moves clockwise and the other moves counterclockwise.
