Absolutely fantastic. Everything for everyone. Keep fit, ticked that box. Art of patience, ticked that box. Calling fell runner's nutters then screaming, singing operatically and shouting boom at the top of a mountain well and truly ticked that box. Excellent

Love the enthusiasm when it comes together. "What a feeling" Who would want to be landscape photographer? Its when you plan and wait patiently, then you get that feeling inside something is right, look though the viewfinder and then know its right. We all know times when its been a disaster or failure but continue because we believe the reward is always worth.

The camera never lies; it's so clear that the fell runners were the only nutters on the mountain that day ;) Excellent work....

Greg, that has to be your finest intro, an inspired choice, superbly played out (oh to spend an hour in your head 🤣). Perseverance paid dividends, love the images, particularly the final shot with the strong pinnacle rocks. Let’s hope we get some white stuff that will stick around for a while
@GregWhitton6 жыл бұрын
Should stick around now for the rest of winter, fingers crossed. After this week there will be a fine base. Ta

Needed a dose of that. Just had a frustrating evening and morning in the peak... just got unlucky with conditions at key times... so great reminder to take the rough with the smooth. And practice tripod press-ups on a more regular basis.

Ok, just watch out for the nutters in the mist then!!!!
Thanks Graeme. Yep, I nearly packed up about 10 minutes beforehand, but I just had a feeling...

Very enjoyable story here Greg. I’m glad to see that your training and patience was rewarded with some cracking photos. Well done. I am curious about one thing. If the winter fell runners are nutters, what does it make the landscape photographer who is sat on the mountain for hours? 😉 Cheers, Jeff

What a difference a day makes, I can't believe you put that lense on the wrong way round at this stage in the game lol classic! and you where certainly going flat out 100% at the start of Moel Eilio it certainly is a steep incline Greg, and rightly so for the BOOM I've been caught once or twice myself "effing and blinding" behind my camera as other members of the public pass me by always out of the blue Mother nature decides to turn up after hiding behind a rock/wall for hours on end, well worth it, Jeeeeez the light you had over Nantlle Ridge was epic!! thank you for sharing
