I appreciate the natural tones of your photographs. They show subtle beauty. So many photos these days, forget to maintain subtly and instead crank the chroma to 11.

What a beautiful piece at 08:46...That looks like a REAL painting! MONET would have been proud to see this one...07:15 and 09:22 are awesome...But. 08:46 is my favorite! You have convinced me to add a REVERSE GRAD to my filter my kit. Thanks! Cheers!

Stunning, serene images, Andrew. Tasmania must seem a long time ago on one hand, but it must also feel as if the workshop is rushing up. Hope you get the opportunity to record some of it for a vlog. Only clocked this evening your 33k subscribers, fantastic.

Andrew , I have followed you for sometime and never taken the time to comment and express my thanks for your inspiring videos . So many of your images are stunning and the image at 9.20 in this video taken with the drone is so painterly and perfectly exposed it is awe inspiring. Congratulations on a wonderful portfolio and thanks again for sharing . Rgds Greg .

Andrew Thanks. Very timely. I used my Lee 0.9 Reverse Grad for the first time capturing a sunset on Sunday. It seems like the reverse grad allows you to capture the colors better than just a grad filter. The one mistake I made on some of my photos was having the Reverse Grad too low which darkened the midground too much. As the sun is going down you need to move the Reverse Grad along with it.

Now that sounds relaxing. We were under pressure at the start before the sun came up, but then the conditions continued so we could allow things down. Thanks for watching!👍

Terrific set of images you captured there Andrew, for a cold location your photos have captured a feeling of real warmth to them, you've earned another like again, though I usually will give you one anyway and it's guaranteed when there's a Pano to feast the eyes upon at 9.45 , cheers Mate.

Haha, appreciate all the support Craig, it really helps! The morning was very cold, probably the coldest we experienced but the sun soon warned things up. The light that filtered through the high level cloud was great to work with.

Another breath taking landscape Andrew. I'd love to see some of those cloud inversions when I visit ... great images as per usual mate.
@Andrew_marr5 жыл бұрын
Cheers Richard, cloud inversions are much more common than where I'm from. So it was great to experience one. You're bound to get some while you're over there. My next location would have made a great spot for some astrophotography, if we had better conditions.

Some beautiful images there .... quick gear question .. Assume you are still vlogging with the XT100 ? If so how you finding it, in particular AF (face tracking) and the exposure jumping around the place which I hear can be quite bad .?

Beautiful and stunning vlog, Andrew! THANK YOU for explaining where one would use a reverse grad. I have been thinking of getting one. I am wondering; it would not be as effective for landscapes with water??? As always thank you for sharing your knowledge and work!

@philipculbertson555 жыл бұрын
So Andrew, I had a question I've wondered about. When using a reverse grad on photos with an uneven horizon (such as trees or mountains) does the dark border create problems in mountains, trees and the like? Do you recover dark areas such as those in Lightroom or are they not noticeable enough to need that?
@aussie81145 жыл бұрын
Beautiful shots in a great location. Not sure I would have a CP on if it serves no purpose. 2 extra pieces of glass in addition to a grad. But then I’m just an armchair photographer 😂
