The franticness of this worked Pal, I like how you circled the building where many would have camped out upon arrival !

Hi Izzy, No Need For Any Apologies Mate, As I'm Beginner Photographer These Things Happen To Me All The Time. They're Hundreds Of Old Farm House's All Over South Oz, Especially Around The Flinders Rangers, I've Travelled Many Dirt Roads Exploring The Flinders, It's An Amazing Place, Have Fun Out There But Be Safe.😀😀📷📷📷📷
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Thank you Gavin, I'm home now so I did survive 😂. That doesn't discount that care has to be taken, especially after rain some of the roads we were on were very treacherous indeed. And you are so right in the shear number of old homesteads spread across South Australia. It's a lifetimes commitment to try and get them all... I'll be happy with just a few of them. Glad you enjoyed the show

Oh joy! Disaster you say? Absolutely not! To be able to extract great images inspite of having to run around dodging sheep is what makes a great photographer. What you can make of less than ideal conditions just shows what a master of the craft you are. This was just the real world and the joys of painting with light. Definately NOT a bomb! See you next week

"Izzy's Big Adventures"!! And not a total disaster in the end - beautiful and haunting - and fun to stir up some excitement or it could be boring! I hope you are wearing a GPS collar so you can be found when wandering around in the dark outback! You could use those pictures to challenge short story writers to come up with some great ones about what might have gone on with those homesteads in the past!
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Thank you Juanita, no not a disaster, and to be honest I would have enjoyed the sunrise in quiet contemplation if I hadn't stumbled across the old homestead. That's a great thought though about reminiscing about the life of pioneers gone by 🙏. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

Such big skies and wide open spaces. Great for simplistic compositions. The tech bombing did not spoil the video. The colours in the sky were beautiful. My attitude for going on a landscape shooting expedition is expect to get nothing and after that everything is a bonus. Going with those expectations mean I'm always ready to take a chance. The alternative is staying at home and missing some great moments. Thanks pal.

Nothing to apologize for that's just the way things go sometimes. I particularly liked the next to last image with the small trees in front of the mountains in the background. I have a preference for horizontal compositions. You had some amazing light to work with. Beautiful images as always.

I think this clip was certainly worth the tremendous effort you expended to bring it to your channel, Izzy. I for one am most grateful. The house was magnificent - as were the photos - and I could see that someone, in a time long past, crafted it in a way that is no longer common. And _crafted_ describes your photos too: your attention to detail is a great lesson. I found the final photo particularly moving, though I also fell for the panorama at about 19 minutes. Can I suggest you check your map app to see if you can drop a pin, with the approximate location? It might prove advantageous. (I can vouch for this from recent experience wandering around a pine forest near Canberra Airport last week. I got totally disoriented because of my random wanderings.🙄)
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Thank you very, very much Mick, appreciation in extremis 🙏. The map suggestion is very apt and sensible (sensible is something I'm lacking in now and then 😂). I usually use an App called Map My Pic where I take a photo of something and it categories it by location, producing a bespoke 'map' of my locations. I didn't think I would need it as I was going to photography a blooming big building in an empty field... boy was I wrong 😂. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

I was puffing just watching you run around Izzy, don't worry there have been times when I've been in the same position, sorry for the late comments not a good week. You managed to capture some really good images so that was a bonus, thought your shot at 18:45 was my pick, I kept yelling come left come left, and you did. Thanks again for sharing this with us and have a great week.

Breathless in the outback, good to see your old brain can still order the body to pump out some adrenalin to get you going. I haven’t seen you do that much running for quite a few years. Very amusing. Oh and some of those shots turned out rather well don’t you think? Well done Iz

I was hoping to achieve some sort of terminal velocity (but not terminal in all definitions 😂). Was a bit of fun (did I say pushing this old carcass to its extreme limits fun 😂) after being a tad despondent. A bit of luck with the light and colour was very welcome though. Have a great week buddy 🙏🙏🙏

Wow - what a location! I’ve wanted to visit the Flinders Ranges for decades. Love the images you captured , Izzy - especially under such stressful circumstances. My son heard the panting coming from my phone and wondered what I was watching… BTW, did you sort out why the video camera kept failing?
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if it was better to lie and say porn or show him the truth... an ageing photographer trying to propel his bloated carcass across the outback 😂😂😂. I have a couple of faulty batteries that dispel if left for more than a couple of days after charging. I'm trying to get to September when GoPro traditionally release a new model... and they may have a different battery to go with it. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, on the first image, did you Auto bracket as in, one stop over and one stop under. I thought I heard the camera clicking three times. If so then stack the image, it’s a lot of work.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Cheers William, I never use the auto bracket option, when I need to exposure blend I prefer to do it manually. I also stack and blend manually too and you are right sometimes its a lot of work... worth it though. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Cheers John, I should have explained myself a bit more clearly... the homesteads on the main road have spit lights illuminating them. The ones out in the wilderness around them don't hence me not being able to find the old derelict building in the pre-dawn gloom. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, do you edit each image then blend them, or blend them together and then edit one image ?
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Good question William, I edit each image and then blend them... it might take longer but I prefer to do it that way as I have to normalise the light and colour in each image so that they seamlessly blend into one. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
