Breathtaking colours and images, Izzy, of an extraordinary location. The lavender, mauve, and other pastel tones were gorgeous. Loved the shadow-and-rainbow image. There was something otherworldly about it. Thanks for taking the time to do the clip - it's quite an effort to do one of these each week.

Thank you very much M, always appreciated. When you luck out, you luck out! The light was just so gentle and sublime. I try to get out with the camera every week so far I have been lucky enough to cobble together a video from most of them 🤣. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

Beautifully captured Izzy, just amazing images. I thought the ones at 14:50 and 19:15 were my picks from the shoot. Have had to run myself sometimes to prevent my shadows spoiling the shot. Loved that rainbow.... Have a great week and thank you so much for sharing this with us.

I felt your pain for the first 10 to 15 mins mate.. and then BOOM!! at 18:40 you nailed it and wow.. seriously, I can't tell you how many times I find myself saying out loud ( while watching your vlogs ) "gosh, I wish I was there as well.." ;-)

What an outworldly landscape! Magic location that you have done immense justice to. I just love those delicate colours in the salt and in the dramatic sky, especially the ones at 17:25 amd 18:30. It was a real treat watching you shuffle around to get that beautiful rainbow then just run backwards! Oh what we do to get 'that' composition!!! See ya!

you perfectly captured that magical feeling that only getting a great image in your camera can give 🙂 a perfect sunrise sky as well mate - those pastel tones at the 15:00 mark are right up my Straße . And then a rainbow to cap it all. I hope you bought a lotterty ticket on the way home?!?!

Cheers Nick, sometimes you just luck out 🙏. I hoping to go back when we have 2 or 3 inches of water out there for some reflection play... I'll lose the delicate pink hue but I think it might work out. Be hell on the equipment though. Keep well and have a great week ahead buddy 🙏🙏🙏

I enjoy that you work a composition showing how a few steps or minor elevation changes make major improvements. The additional note is that they take very little time and effort. I wish I remembered this when I take the shot not looking at it during editing.

stunning doesn't convey how to describe that scene. Gorgeous light with rainbows, shadows, moody skies and did I spot a unicorn!!! We are basking in aurora fever here - even in light polluted Edinburgh I got some half decent shots last night from my window. fabulous as always Izzy and yes your little legs were moving a bit quick 🤣 take care

I missed where you said you were doing the shot. But once you started talking about Pillars of Salt I guessed Sodom and then the tempest came so maybe Gomorrah…never knew it was so pink Great shots, loved the sky post the gentle rain

Cheers Thomas love the Old Testament reference, all I can say is 'that's your lot' - I know, a long groan is the only appropriate answer 🤣. I'm hoping to head back when there are a couple of inches of rain out there and aim for reflections! Look after that wonderful family of yours and have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

Awesome light and location well done. Call me crazy but I prefer the warm light giving the colour palette on the salt things not the shadow side and the colour in the sky. Saying that loved the shot at 14mins and soft colour in the cloud. BUT 22 mins and the right side of the rainbow and the leading line of salt in the ground 😍 Please say you took that! Great morning, thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much Andrew, appreciated buddy.I think the hardest thing is thinking in a hurry and running around trying to get the shot. I sort of envy those cool, calm and collected photographers on KZbin as I don't recognise anything of me in those videos 🤣. As for the composition at 22.00 yest I did grab that frame along with several others. Have a great week Andrew🙏🙏🙏

Are these stones Estromatolites? Does this lake have a name and where is it if I may ask. Thanks and beautiful work.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Interesting question Daniel. Now that you mention it they do have a remarkable resemblance to thrombolites at Lake Clifton in WA. Stromatolites are layered and thrombolites are 'clumped'. Now that you have posed the question I would have to say I don't know. Thrombolites and stromatolites thrive in brackish water so that could fit. Thank you for the observation and comment Daniel. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
@danielbruhin61716 ай бұрын
@@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography Here in Patagonia, we have two places with Stromatolites, in salty lakes and one large lake with no exit with very large thrombolites, but strangely with sweet water you can take. These kind of formations are very rare in the world and looks like we have them mostly in Australia and Chile.

How do you deal with dust, on lenses,filters and sensors ?
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography6 ай бұрын
Hi William and thank you for your comment. Clean, clean, clean I'm afraid. A damp microfibre cloth, a soft toothbrush and a dry lint free duster usually does the job on the exterior of all my kit. This environment wasn't too bad over all (the fact there was no water on the salt pan helps - although I'm hoping to go back soon after some rain for reflections). If I was in a wet salt pan I would have soaked my tripods underwater in the bath to get rid of the corrosive salt deposits. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
