I am back in the UK photographing the place I fell in love with landscape photography - The Lake District. I hike up Gummer’s How in the south of the park and get rewarded with some great light and find some amazing trees.

Welcome home. You'll to forgive me and my question on the other video as I'm playing catch up with you channel. Yet another brilliant video and I love both of the tree shot. I was out shooting yesterday with a friend who also does analogue photography and we were saying the same that you sometimes have to stop and drink it in as no photographer in the world can always do the scenery justice. Even Mr Adams himself said so in one of his interviews, he made images of a part of the scenery that stood alone on their own merit.

Very nice! I think I have some prints of images I shot whilst at college on Ilford HP5 in my loft somewhere. I can still smell the developer if I close my eyes... Can't wait to see your results!

What a beautiful scene. I watch your videos on my hdtv and let me tell you, your photos look absolutely amazing. Really nice balance between the light and shadow (which retains detail). Great stuff!

This was the first of your vlogs that ive watched and it was really good. Nice images. Those trees at the end did look tricky to compose, as you said in the video getting the image balanced was the important bit, but I think you pulled it off! Hi Nigel, i found your channel just a couple of day's ago and started to watch your movies as from your vlog start and "work" my way up to the most recent ones. You probably improved yourself already (as i can see), but for now i want to give you a tip about your video's (if you don't mind?). Try to balance the sound, the step over from talk to music and back the other way around is not on the same level (the music is louder then the talkings). Also try to balance/blend the music better into the images you show or into the video footage, the video scenes have to follow the music in a better way and you will be able to give some more "emotion" to the images you show when you blend the showing of the image into a certain part of the music. Last tip, try not to promptly cut of the music when the video ends, try to fade out more or find a "bang" in the music that allows a promptly cut of the video. Great work though, i like your authentic approach and love the images you make (and the saturated post processings). My comments/tips are not specially about this video....it's more about the video's i saw until now but the video's are very enjoyable, otherwise i would not watch them😉 Regards, Ben👋

Hi Simon. Nice video of the lakes. I am just starting to get into a bit of photography, teaching myself through youtube and other training videos i have. I am thinking of going to the lakes in a few weeks when I'm off work. I was wondering as it is such a massive place if you could maybe when your not busy, send me a list of the best spots to visit in maybe running order if you like.
