Cleanest D by land miles there for this second highlight series was Reinbacher again. Plus he's the one dangling at center to set up #57 who then set up Beck for that snipe. Very good rush by Heineman too, probably would've scored had the puck not crossed the line a fraction of a second before already. Also, I'd say pretty risky all for offense move from Pascal Vincent overall to pair up Hutson with (even more so while poor Quentin Miller is out), makes a lot of sense for PP but for the usual rotation not as much. But maybe that's a good thing, after a full season working on that a lot -especially when Arber was there with him- it's up to Logan now to take up the Defensive reigns on his own and be much more responsible than he was in his first camps, seems he's getting there quite nicely. Still a few kinks to even out, sure he's no Reinbacher, but it's already looking very encouraging.
@lauig3 күн бұрын
To whoever would read this wrong, when i say "Cleanest", i don't mean he's the one who stood out the most, that's defo Hutson. It's just that David showed a good deal why he's so highly touted on defense, ground coverage etc and he's starting to show a bit of that offensive side too.
@bravepotatoe75133 күн бұрын
@@lauig So he's like a guhle ? Very solid all around but nothing exceptional so he goes a bit unnoticed ?
@lauig3 күн бұрын
@@bravepotatoe7513 i'd say better in certain aspects. For instance Guhle has become very clinch in blocking out shots laying out his body on the ice, one of the very best in the whole league on that as a matter of fact, but David from what i understand has more the type of game that help prevent said shot to happen in the first place. It's in how he reads the game, anticipate, position himself, cuts the angles, covers ground fast to push away the forward etc. But yeah, overall a lot of tiny super well executed details that tends to go unnoticed unless he misses them for once and that shot does happen.

I thought Hutson was mostly invisible the Leafs prospects were th ebetter team better skaters stronger on the puck won most board battles and we got very few actual scoring chances. The most glaring thing for me besides habs falling on their ass was speed our smaller players were not faster and not even really more skilled either. The 3 players who took the SO for the Leafs were 3 of the better players in the game whiel the Habs only one guy and I called it Hutson scored the only goal. Funny because Tony and his sidekick were not happy habs prospects were rated 9th in the NHL but if this game was any indication we may need to drop them down another spot or two. The habs have NOBODY to rag the puck protect it and cycle it they lose the puck quickly and then it's out.We know Hutson can do that at the College level but in the NHL he is going to be less impactful.Obviously if we get better forwards then eyah less pressure on Hutson to do it all but we don't have anyone.
