That last solo rocked!! So well constructed! This amp sounds REALLY good. The clean tones aren't wimpy either. ANd the Two Notes being installed is really awesome too! I can see a use for this amp.

Good lord ... I mean I just had to watch the intro 3 times in a row because it is just so f'ing awesome. Melodic, interesting, blazing, a little atmosphere and a little higher gain and all killer, no filler. If that won't sell people on the tones in this amp I don't know what will.

It sounds like a really cool amp, Pete! But i just can't get into IR output tones. Your recording sounds fantastic, so you clearly know how to make them work. But when I hear the A/B to your real cabinet, its such a difference. When I do use virtual tones, I always find myself asking, "How much better would a speaker sound?"

Why didn't they give it an effect loop? Having the possibility to use this amp with some higain preamp (the Victory Kraken for example) via 4-cable-method would have really expanded possibilities a lot in my opinion. Really great tones, nontheless!
@PeteThorn
@PeteThorn Жыл бұрын
I think the power amp at three watts and the vintage style architecture of the circuit. Most people will tell you that a plexi circuit, much like an AC 30, suffers with a loop. Part of the sound of these amps is the whole circuit driving, including the phase inverter, and if you put a loop in, your disrupting the circuit before the phase inverter AND not going to get much of a different sound, then if you just ran the effects into the front, because they’re still going to get distorted by the phase inverter.
@WyattBrown377
@WyattBrown377 Жыл бұрын
Effects loops work well when the power amp section remains clean. But a 3 watt amp with attenuator and reactive load is all about driving the power amp so your effects would get distorted if there was an effects loop.
@sundrenched6248
@sundrenched6248 Жыл бұрын
With the original amp, most of the distortion comes from the power amp anyway. So with a pristine-clean preamp, it won't make much difference if you run the effects in front or after the preamp. Probably a bit different for what you're describing (a hotter signal from a preamp). Personally I don't care, but I think from a marketing point of view, they would have done better to include and effects loop.
