He’s got the build of a linebacker, the speed of a cornerback, the tackle breaking power and shiftiness of a running back, a cannon for an arm, and the elusiveness of Houdini. By next season his skills to read defenses, find, and hit the open man could make him the most talented QB to come along in a long time.

Sellers will be the GOAT as far as SC quarterbacks go by the time he leaves.. first season in the SEC starting and already predicted to be the a top 2 QB in the SEC, top 5 already in the entire country next season based off this years performance. Finished the season on a 6 games winning streak with 9/10 wins, top 15 finish, 4 ranked wins with 2 being top 12, losses only came to ranked teams. Helped win Beamer coach of the year in the SEC, beat the kitties from the upstate, & best of all.. hes only a RS freshman so we have him for ATLEAST one more year!

1 more year? Y only 1 more if he's a freshman
@LewisBrazelz
@LewisBrazelz 2 ай бұрын
@AllenChavis-z5z Redshirt Freshman so he's already been here 2 years, only played 1. Players are eligible for the draft and can leave after his 3rd year in school even if he only played football 2 of the seasons because he redshirted. So he could leave after next season if he wanted but he could also stay for 3 more years if he wanted to. Redshirting just gives him 5 years of eligibility instead of 4 if he wanted to stay in college for as long as possible but as good as Sellers is I have a feeling the NFL will come calling after next year so let's pray he decides to stay as many years as possible

@@8bitorbust-w3n I'm 28 and seeing you say KO Simpson takes me back to my younger days listening to the games on the radio because we didn't have TV! I know that has nothing to do with the conversation but I couldnt help but have a football flashback when seeing Ko Simpson or even Johnathon Joseph 😂 it feels like it's been forever since those guys played, heck even Alshon feels like forever ago now that he's retired from the NFL for a few seasons

@LewisBrazelz Ko was defensive freshman of the year in 04. My boy picked 6 passes including that one vs UGA was not human. Dude had to climb a stepladder to get that one and take it back. Funny thing, the following year Jonathan Joseph had a similar one to Simpson for a pick 6 vs UGA. Both went in the NFL Draft. Joseph the first round, Simpson the second. I sometimes wonder what if they put in a full four. In Joseph's case he had a hall of fame career. 15 seasons 32 picks over 800 return yds and 8 yds. Simpson was off to a good start but injuries man. But I'll NEVER forget them. They were Sheldon Brown and Andre Goodman all over again.

Very people talk 2 aspects of South Carolina's success this year. First the improved run game from improved RB play to improved o-line schemes up front. But more importantly the play of the TEs this year has been amazing, Simon ( possible late round NFL draft prospect), Harbor, Hunt, Smith and Connor Cox. The route running but more significant and additive was the TEs blocking this year. What is the common denominator in all of these statements? Coach Shawn Elliott, run game coordinator, TEs coach and assisted with O-line which got vastly better as the year went on ( shout out Coach Lonnie). But Coach Elliott was a genius move by Shane Beamer. Great leader, balls tough and loves his players.

Maybe I am biased, but for once SC has the next best thing. Im sure there will be a 30x30 on espn for Lanorris in the future. I am not/ nor will i hate on any gamecock fan for wanting him benched early in the season even when he just needed time. I understand the pain we have all been through over the years. But now is the time we stand behind not only the greatness of this young man, but also the passion he plays with. I've seen many with passion and some ability and some with ability and little passion. He plays with all, just like Connor Shaw did, and im sure we all loved him.

I'm not here to put extra mustard on the sandwich, but let's talk facts. LaNorris Sellers has separated himself from the pack in how he handles pressure, especially against elite SEC defenses. When you compare him to guys like Quinn Ewers, Jaxson Dart, Arch Manning, and Jalen Milroe, the difference is clear. Look at how Ewers and Manning struggled against Georgia’s pass rush-it was night and day compared to how Sellers holds up under similar conditions. The guy’s poise against programs like LSU, Alabama, and Kentucky-teams known for sending NFL-ready defensive talent year after year-is unmatched. When Clemson’s defense took away his passing game, he put the team on his back as a runner. That’s not just grit; that’s leadership and adaptability at a Tier 1 level. Sellers plays like he’s been here before. His athleticism is undeniable, but it’s his ability to handle pressure and elevate his team against proven programs that makes his case for All-SEC 1st or 2nd Team undeniable. South Carolina’s future is in good hands.

Nyck has made huge strides this year in all of the important WR measurables.... I noticed early mid-season that his blocking - both downfield and on the perimeter - had improved immensely. Then a week or two later, all of a sudden, he became more productive - easily catching balls with his hands AND running crisp routes. I believe his progress has mirrored Sellers' improvement. And I think they have begun to develop a nice relationship on the field that will continue to grow and become a huge part of our offensive success. If you have the hands and the route running nailed down - you can't teach the speed and size he has. That connection could be really, really special....

Let this set in: is there any QB better than Sellers in the CFB Playoff rankings ? Oregon: Gabriel certainly has experience over LS but at 5'10 with limited arm strength I say no, Texas: Ewers no way period ( I don't even think he'll be a 1st round NFL draft pick), Penn State: Drew Aliar, a one trick pony, no mobility and cannot take over game . Answer is No, Notre Dame: Reilly Leonard, No, Boise State: No Sellers is displaying Lamar Jackson vibes and he is better at this point in his career than Jackson who played against inferior talent whereas Seller plays against the best talent in cfb

Will Howard at OSU.. no. Whoever gets in from the ACC between Clemson/SMU.. no to both. If Bama is picked.. Sellers is better than Milroe and would beat him if they played again today so no. Carson Beck at Georgia.. way to inconsistent so no. Most of these guys depend on their best players or their team to win for them as they manage the game. Sellers has already proved he can TAKE OVER a game and put the team on his back through the air or the ground, whichever the defense gives him. Let them fight for the playoffs this year and give us even more reason to come out on fire next year. I have a feeling Sellers is more excited to start next season than we are for it lol
