I am starting to build up a collection of tents now, even though I said at the beginning that my Phoxx 2 was all I needed... How many have you got, and do you have a favourite?

Evening Ryan, we are looking to expand our tent Arsenal, currently, shamefully o my I possession of one tent....MSR Elixer 3. Videos like this are really useful, thank you! Especially appreciate the information on screen and setup walk through 🤗🏕 Catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ the Lanshan is a proper little beast!

@@TeaInValhalla Nothing shameful about only having one tent! especially if it does everything you need it to. I am a bot of a gear head to be honest, ( much to my wifes annoyance... ) I have heard really good things about MSR tents, and the camps I have seen you use it on look like it is serving you well. If its not broke and all that :)

Great video Ryan, great show and tell of the trooper of a tent, very detailed and an interesting watch from a non Lanshan owners pov. Good size inside too, loads of room! Thanks for this, have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🏕👍

Thanks Guys, yeah it certainly does have a lot of space for such a light tent, I have taken it out again since this video and overall I am still pretty impressed, going to be interesting to see how it fares over the coming Autumn and Winter months

Hi Ryan, as you know I have the Lanshan 2 Pro. I struggled with the pitch and getting the bath tub set correctly but I think I have got that sorted now. I made a modification to the door by removing the rams horn plastic clip as I thought this would eventually break in high winds, I replaced the black cord on the bottoms of the doors with bungee cord and I peg the doors independently of the guy line. I found this helped with opening the doors as the plastic rams horn clip is a bit fiddly. Condensation is dependant on several factors. This time of the year I expect to get condensation every time as the night air is cold and the air inside the tent is warm. When I used my tent in the summer I had no condensation at all. Good luck with the seam sealing.

Hi Paul. Yeah the bathtub was fiddly at first, I have taken the tent out again since and the second pitch was much better. Thats a good Idea with the door, I think I might do the same as yeah the clip can be a bit of a pita from the inside! I think a lot of the condensation is down to the humidity on Dartmoor, it is pretty wet at the best of times, but, the room inside does counteract that as I never feel like I am pressed up against the walls. Hoping to get it sealed this weekend, it was a pretty straight forward job on the Hex Peak so hopefully this one will be easy too!

Great and informative review, I’m looking at buying one of the lanshan tents I live in Thailand and have a choice of all of them, I cannot make up my mind, I seem to be leaning towards the models with the inner to prevent the condensation as you were but also like the strength of the pro,s outer 20d fabric, thanks for sharing👍

Cheers Ben, its not a bad little tent, but it certainly has its limitations. I think for fair weather use it is great, as its nice and light and offers a decent amount of space, but, if you want to see how it does in medium / high winds, check out my most recent video. Got to say, getting a comment from one of the big guns has made my night, I have watched soo many of your vids, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. ATB, Ryan

Great video Ryan! We have been looking at the Lanshan ourselves, although the two person one, we have never had a trekking pole tent although i am never without my trekking pole so would maybe make sense. We absolutely love our mountain equipment tundra 2 tent, it's our go to and has never let us down, they are discontinued now and where around £500 rrq but we were lucky enough to pick our up for £90 mint condition on eBay, bargain!🥰. Have a wonderful weekend, take care, Shell and Pete

Thanks Guys, It is a nice little tent. I am taking it to the Brecon Beacons tomorrow, so will see how it fares. I am getting myself a Scarp 1 for the winter though, so I think the lanshan will probably get one or two more outings before it is packed away till the spring. Treking pole tents are great it you already use hiking poles, the weight savings can be huge. Sounds like you got a real bargain with the tent :) Ryan

I've just got the cloud up 2. Never had condensation which is always nice and I've got plenty of room.

I have been umming and arring over a naturehike tent for a while now, I think that weight seems to be my primary driver when it comes to tents, but, that being said especially now the weather is turning, something more substantial might be a good shout. The naturehike tents do seem to have a pretty good rep...

@@ryanrunningwild I think it weighs in at 1.5 kg with groundsheet, pegs and poles. Not bad for a 2 man

Thanks! I am pretty sure the Pro versions have more internal space, they are 230cm long, which is pretty massive! I still think that this is going to be a summer / spring tent though due to the single skin

@@ryanrunningwild yep. It’s a tough one as I love my setup though..... can’t afford another tent anyway so just going to have to strengthen my muscles so that carrying the weight isn’t an issue 😂
