What a cold evening! Talking and narrating was difficult at times. I may have even forgotten to mention a few restaurants in this video. Oh could you ever forgive me?! ❄️🤪☕️✌️ Here’s the link to previous waterfront walking tour video where I focused on hotels at the Seattle waterfront 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3K0dKimp9GqgdE

Dennis-Having been born and raised in Seattle, but now living in California! I haven't been back for about 4-5 years now! LOVE your narrated walking tours! May I suggest a new waterfront walking tour so we can all see what all the new changes look like now! Thank you! Keep up the great work!

I lived in Seattle from 1976 and 1978; then it was a beautiful small, cosmopolitan city with friendly people; coming from Boston, I loved it this city and walked everywhere and marveled at the green grass in winter ('78 was an unusually snowy winter).. I worked for Nordstrom and remember the Nordstrom brothers walking around the store and being accessible and friendly to all employees. I lived at the the then wonderfully clean Lowell Apartments for $252.00 a month; great cheap public transit; took the Bremerton ferry for $1.20 round trip; I did not need a car; it was a wonderful city with fond memories of my brief time in Seattle.

Wow thanks for sharing. My time in Seattle began in 1980. Fond memories on my end as well.

I dont think people realize just how difficult it is to walk, film and talk at the same time. Anyone who has attemped to make a video knows how cringe worthy most attempts are! So hats off to you. I just discovered your channel yesterday. I live in Renton (which isnt as photogenic as Seattle…lol). Maybe one day I will walk Renton and do a vlog walking by the Taco Time and KFC🤣. Good job Dennis!

Hi Dennis! I first discovered your channel a few months ago when I just wanted to find what is the "vibe" of Seattle before I actually go there (I was in Seattle on the last days of October '21) through vlogs, etc. Now I can definitely confirm that your videos show the real Seattle, you show how things really are and it's great. Thank you for your walking tours, I love coming back to your channel because I miss Seattle so very much and your videos help a lot :) Kind greetings from Poland!

FUN FACT: The area just north of the aquarium where that construction area is, they're talking about making that a new access point to pike place with slides and a new part of the aquarium. It's gonna be called "the promenade!" Between the aquarium and the wheel, they're gonna make a new pier with a playground and a fountain and stuff!

having grown up in Seattle, I have walked my way around most of the places you have visited, lived in West Seattle from age 10-15. Of course, when I lived there, a bus ride cost .10 cents, if you wanted to go somewhere, you walked. On the waterfront where they have built all those Condos, it was strictly a parking lot, for all of us that wanted to visit the waterfront, Spuds on Alki Beach was the best place to get Fish and Chips, along with Ivar's. The monorail costs .25 cents one way, Seattle has to be on the top of my list as one of the best cities to visit. I still have friends who live there, but have moved closer to Tacoma!!!

It looks so cold over there. Nice views. I've never been to Seattle, but I do have relatives there. I'd like to go to Vancouver, (where I also have relatives) in the future, and take a ferry ride to Seattle. It's still very cold in Edmonton, and Alberta. Hopefully, it will warm up. Cheers! ✌️

We will be in Seattle in May to take a cruise to Alaska and your videos have been soooo helpful! Question - prior to the cruise we are staying at The State Hotel (corner of Pike St. and 2nd Ave.). We of course will be exploring Pike Place Market, but also would want to visit the waterfront/Big Wheel. Can you recommend the easiest way to walk there from our hotel? The streets/stairs seem very confusing when looking at the maps. Thank you!
@LaoOcean2 жыл бұрын
From Pike Place Fish where they toss fish just keep going down the fight of stairs to the right and it will take you to the waterfront.

Thanks for this video - and for talking a bit about photography! I plan to visit Seattle in April and I'm a photographer (mainly nature). I want to walk by a bunch places from my past and take photos. In your opinion, are there any places you would say I probably should not walk around with my DSLR (safety reasons)?
