I had a band fitted privately and lost almost 6 stone in 1 year. Unfortunately, my stomach came up through the band and caused vomiting which got worse over the next few months. I couldn't lay flat and had to sleep sitting up. I was vomiting up brown stuff. The NHS removed the band and there was instant relief. The NHS consultant said they don't do bands, only sleeves and bypass. They offered me that but decided I didn't want more surgery. The band was adhered to my liver a bit, but came out easily with keyhole surgery,

I'm 6 months in and haven't lost any weight 😐 Starting to wish, i would've not gotten it done!!

I'm 10 years in and considering revision. I'm starting to have indigestion and never reached my goal weight. I wish I had done the bypass or the sleeve.

I’m at 10 years now but have lately had stomach issues and I’m starting to think it’s the band, did you have any other issues? Curious

@@shelleyhannon9719 what issues if you don't mind me asking? Mine is indigestion and a lot of tightness. I had an upper GI last week and it's not a slip thank goodness but I do have reflux. I see the Dr Thursday to discuss next steps.
