I was con3cting a 10 metre hdmi from pc to tv which is about 10 meteres away in another room. I also had my elite 2 and a mx3 mouse working, tirelessly no issues 3 rooms away lol. I just bought a keyboard for 70 uk pounds a razer 65 hyper and my lap unit is 23 uk pounds it'll be here tomorrow, I can't wait to try it out

Yes this is exactly the way to go for some casual and relax gaming. You don't have to be always a competitive gamer all the time

i use a Lazyboy recliner chair with feet up, with corsair k63 lapboard with normal computer monitors on a cheap easy custom computer desk to get the monitors positioned correctly over the Lazyboy chair. I will never use a uncomfortable painful to use body destroying standard computer/gaming type chair ever again!

Thanks for the KB/Lapdesk recommendation. I don't wanna drop $200+ on the couchmaster setup, but a nice smallish kb/m combo with that lapdesk seems great

2 years later, has the Lapgear lap desk held up well for you? There were some reviews mentioning it had a thin fragile faux carbon laminate and was prone to chipping / cracking. Thanks!

I am getting back in to PC gaming shortly and this product looks ideal. I am purchasing an Apex Pro Mini so I know that will fit, buy how do you find the mouse pad space? Is it not too small for gaming?

Would a full size keyboard with a number pad work? Or do you need to get a smaller keyboard to fit the Lapgear? Or do they sell larger Lapgears that fit normal sized keyboards? I saw this at Bestbuy today and after looking at other options I want to go this lapgear route.

It would probably fit but not comfortably. Best to go compact. Only accountants need a numbpad. :)

That's nice, but I hate that they assume everyone is right-handed. I would also like to know how well this works for productivity, not just gaming. If I got a big 4K TV, I wonder about the ergonomics of using it from the couch at 100% text scaling. That's for for multitasking work all day five days a week. In other words, could I get rid of my desk entirely and still work from home?

I tried editing segments of a video like this. It wasn't the best feeling. I've recently changed that setup and now run a 77" Oled.

I have the exact same thing and have done for a couple years and the mouse pad is far too small don’t buy if you wanna game on it

You can just increase the cursor speed of the mouse to cover for that. I've never had an issue for gaming.

Are you referring to the Keychron k2? Make sure it's charged, reset your Bluetooth settings in PC, consider a new dongle, Bluetooth 5.0, etc... or move closer to your source.

at times i want to roll my chair bk a bit kick the feet rest up lean the seat at a low angle and game a little distance from my desk...also i eat at my desk and it gets messy real fast id also want it to eat on, plus my laptop that i use on bed the fans gets blocked and it hot on my leg. this would be very useful in many ways for me

I'm a couch PC gamer. This is good for browsing, but not for competitibe gaming. Low DPI/ sensitivity is a must and you need a much bigger surface area for the mouse pad. I had to custom make my lapdesk out of solid oak. Love seeing this topic come up though! It mainly wasn't doable in the past due to Wireless peripherals/ TVs having huge latency issues. Fortunately that's a thing of the past!!

I got a second hand xbox360 controller and reciever for £15. I thought it would be a good way to play some retro games from my pc using my TV as a monitor. It's great for some stuff, like simpsons hit and run or escape from wolfenstein (yes I'm all kinds of werid for using an xbox controller on a pc, with my TV as monitor for a early 90s dos game) But for more first person shooter games it is a nightmare to aim I'm considering getting something like this but I guess the downside is you can't really 'move about' on the sofa like you can a controller
